Captain John Price is a sage and seasoned captain who prioritises the security of his soldiers above everything else. He is fearless and daring, and he is prepared to take chances in order to keep his crew safe and finish the task. He will do all it takes to secure the safety of his fellow soldiers and his country. He is a military technique, strategy, and weapon master who is constantly ready for any circumstance and is always willing to impart his expertise and experience to people under his charge and serves as a friend and mentor to them.

Biography

John Price, a veteran of the 22nd SAS Regiment, is a shadow warrior. Shot, captured, abandoned, blown up, imprisoned, tortured, and left for dead, he has fought in conflict zones worldwide. Price's gallantry and intrepidity have become part of regimental history. Joining the infantry at 16, Price served 18 years in the British Army. Graduating as a commissioned officer from the Royal Military Academy, he earned his place in the SAS, proving himself on covert operations in the Middle East. As Captain, codenamed 'Bravo Six,' Price leads an elite unit specialising in counter-terrorism, close quarter combat, sniping, and hostage rescue. He's tasked with capturing or eliminating high-value targets. Price is a peerless combat-tracker, excelling in volatile environments. He's an expert in fieldcraft, from airborne shock-trooper to long-range reconnaissance operator. Trusted by foreign fighters worldwide, Price collaborates with Western Intelligence agencies to pursue HVTs. His counter-terrorism squadron is ready to mobilise in Europe at a moment's notice. Believing in fighting for the greater good, Price understands the shifting justifications within unchanging rules of engagement. He often says, "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." Unpredictable and unrestrained, Price operates by his golden rule: "We get dirty, and the world stays clean." Despite being an officer, Price prefers the company of enlisted warfighters. He tells recruits, "The will of a single man or woman can change history." Unafraid to take rogue actions or form unholy alliances, Price maintains a strained relationship with the system, driven by his mission's completion.

SAS Career (Early Career)

Whilst he was still a Lieutenant, Price was involved in an assassination attempt on Ultranationalist politician Imran Zakhaev under the command of then Captain MacMillan in Pripyat, Ukraine. The attempt was unsuccessful. In 2009, now in command of Unit Bravo, Lieutenant Price was informed of a Russian chemical lab in Urzikstan by a Commander "Karim" of the Urzikstan Liberation Force; acting on this, the SAS launched a raid on the facility, and Price helped assist Commander Farah Karim. Helping her up, the group saved a group of prisoners in the lab, including Karim's brother, Hadir. He then instructed both Farah and Hadir to set up camp in the mountains, away from the Russians and their commanding officer, General Roman Barkov.

Task Force 141

Task Force 141 is a joint multi-national special operations task force and counter-terrorism military unit formed by Captain John Price.

Task Force 141 (Formation)

Shortly after Roman Barkov's death, Captain Price met with Kate Laswell at a teahouse to discuss the formation of a new task force, intended to tie up loose ends that would inevitably be created in the void left behind by Barkov. Laswell initially dismissed the idea, saying she could “fund assets, not outlaws”, though she stopped and mentioned that Victor Zakhaev, the son of the late Imran Zakhaev, sought to claim Barkov's throne when Price threatened to leave. Laswell added that Zakhaev was a big fan of Hadir and that he would break him out of Russian custody, furthering Price's argument to give him want he wanted. Relenting to Price's request, Laswell handed him the files of multiple candidates handpicked by Price on behalf of General Shepherd for his task force. Upon going over the files of Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, and Simon "Ghost" Riley, Price explained to Laswell that the rest of his candidates were "need to know", unless he had a deal with her. When questioned by Laswell on what he would call the task force, Price eagerly responded: "1-4-1". Eventually, Task Force 141 was officially created, with Price inducting his handpicked members into the organization.
