Moll

appearance

Moll is a tall and plump 33-year-old woman of wild and mysterious beauty. She has large and voluminous long red-red hair, green eyes with no visible eyebrows, three dots tattooed under each eye, and wears a purple and green dress, gold earrings, and a purple shawl around her shoulders, held together by a gold clasp. Like Meb, Moll goes barefoot, causing her feet to be very dirty. As a wolf, she is much larger than a normal wolf with red-brown fur, darker on her neck, head and tail, and she has the same green eyes and dotted markings underneath them, just like in her human form.

personality

Moll is a wise and mysterious woman, kind and compassionate, as seen when she helps Sean Og. She used her wolf pack to scare and intimidate the loggers and drive them away, but when Sean stands his ground and fights, the wolves inflict deep cuts on his chest. Moll took pity on him, came out of the forest to heal his wounds, and silently told him to return home. She appears to be a caring mother who has a strong relationship with her daughter Meb. So much so that she would rather Meb stay safe and leave her behind. She also appears to be merciful, as shown when she helps Shawn and forgives Bill Goodfellow for shooting her in wolf form, even kindly asking him to stay and be accepted as part of the pack.

biography

as Sean Og cuts down trees with his fellow lumberjacks and the wolves that attack in the forest. The wolves stop his escape and he stands his ground to fight, but the ax he holds in defense is broken in half in the wolf's mouth. Sean Og receives two deep cuts to his chest before Moll stops them from hurting him further. She called the wolves back to her side and then approached the wounded woodcutter carrying Mebh. With her help, she uses her healing powers to undo the damage caused by the wolves and then sends him back to Kilkenny. Moll runs back into the forest as the Lord Protector's soldiers rush out of the city. At some point, Moll decides that it is time to move on from the destruction of the Kilkenny forest and leaves her human body in the wolf's den under the care of Mebh, while her wolf form leaves to find a new place for the wolf pack to live. Although she promises to return soon, Moll is captured in wolf form and left in a cage at Kilkenny Castle, leaving Mebh to worry why she hasn't returned yet. Robin, after being bitten by Mebh, is sent to work in the scullery and she hears a faint voice calling her from the Lord Protector's chambers. Before she can fully investigate, Robin is escorted out by the head maid as she is not allowed to be there. Later that night, Robin returns to town after his first night as Wolfwalker. She picks up Moll's scent and follows him back to the castle, narrowly escaping injury from her father and the city guards, who are alarmed that the wolf is inside the city. Robin finds Moll locked in a large cage in the Lord Protector's chambers, who wonders if How Robin became Wolfwalker. Knowing that Mebh was the only one who could do this, she desperately asks if this wolf is still around. Robin realizes that it is Mebh's mother and tells Moll that her daughter is fine, but Moll is saddened to learn that she is still in the area. As Robin tries to figure out how to free Moll, she begs Robin to escape, return to her body, and tell Meb to go to safety. Their conversation is interrupted

biography

Robin finds Moll locked in a large cage in the chambers of the Lord Protector, who wonders how Robin became Wolfwalker. Knowing that Mebh was the only one who could do this, she desperately asks if this wolf is still around. Robin realizes that it is Mebh's mother and tells Moll that her daughter is fine, but Moll is saddened to learn that she is still in the area. As Robin tries to figure out how to free Moll, she begs Robin to escape, return to her body, and tell Meb to go to safety. Their conversation is interrupted by the Lord Protector, who enters the chambers and discovers that Robin is also there. She is forced to flee when the Lord Protector begins shooting at her, although Moll again shouts at Mebh to lead the pack to safety. The next day, Moll is presented to the townspeople, muzzled, caged and chained. As the torch is used to silence her snarling protests, an enraged Mebh bursts onto the scene. Moll bursts out of her muzzle as Bill tries to restrain her daughter by biting his hand. Moll is forced back into the cage, and Mebh escapes, promising to bring back the wolves to save her mother. With Moll no longer of any value to him, the Lord Protector orders Bill to kill her and turns his attention to preparing for war with the wolves. Robin stands in the way of his father's crossbow and frees Moll from his cage. With Robin on her back, she evades several attempts to stop them before leaping onto the walls of Kilkenny, where she arrives just in time to stop Mebh rallying the pack at the edge of the forest. Unfortunately, their happy reunion is short-lived as Bill arrives and, believing his daughter to be in danger due to the monstrous wolf near her, he shoots Moll in the chest. Her wolf form transforms into a spirit who returns to her human form in the lair. Mebh does her best to heal her mother's severe injury on her own while Robin fights the army with the pack.

biography

Meb doesn't have the strength to heal such a severe wound on her own, and it takes the combined efforts of Robin, Meb, Bill in wolf form, and the entire pack to finally heal her wound. Moll rubs noses with their daughter after waking up in human form. Even though Bill shot her, she asks him to stay and join their pack. In the epilogue, all four Wolfwalkers are shown in a restored gypsy wagon, traveling with a pack of wolves in search of a new home. Bill appears to have been forgiven for shooting Moll earlier, likely because she understands that he was only protecting his child, as well as her sense of responsibility for making him a wolfwalker. Their last scene together shows Bill placing a flower in Moll's hair and sharing a smile with her, suggesting that some feeling of affection had developed between them.

Like Wolfwalker Transformation: When she sleeps, Moll's spirit is released from her body and physically takes the form of a wolf. If she bites someone in wolf form, they will also become a Wolfwalker. Speed: Moll can run at higher speeds in wolf form and jump on castle walls. Enhanced Smell and Hearing: In his wolf form, Moll can see and smell much better than in his human form. Her hearing is also excellent, being able to hear noises and vibrations several meters around her. She was able to discover that Robin was in the room with her. Wolf Command: Wolfwalkers are able to howl, causing the eyes of nearby wolves to glow as they run towards them, and they can command them as needed. Like a Druid Healing: Moll comes from an ancient pagan tribe that had the power of healing. Becoming a Wolfwalker enhances this ability, as she can draw strength from the wolf pack and heal wounds faster. Plant Control: Moll enchanted the plants at the entrance to the wolf's lair to intertwine together, forming a nearly impenetrable barrier. The enchantment was cast so that if any creature identified as a "wolf" approached, the plants would automatically turn around and allow free passage into the lair. When Moll is badly wounded and returns to the wolf's lair, the plants' spell is broken and the plants die as her spirit form passes over them. Weather Control: When Mebh, Robin, Bill and the wolf pack worked to heal Moll's wound, a large amount of magical energy was summoned. Their focus on healing also caused a rainstorm that put out the fires in the forest and allowed it to begin to heal.
