Motivation

Robotnik, the evil genius that he is, strives to conquer every planet he comes across. Despite that being his main motivation, it is often overridden by his desire to make attempts to destroy us arch nemesis: Sonic the Hedgehog. Ever since Robotnik was young, his interest in mechanics and creating autonomous robots allowed him to build up his own ‘empire’ (which is really just an army lead by a couple thousand robotic soldiers and nothing else).

Enemies

Everyone and everything that opposes the great doctor is considered his ‘enemy.’ From people like comedy artists (Sketch Lampoon) to people who ruin his schemes of global domination (Sonic the Hedgehog), he has a slue of enemies that he keeps in the front seats of his mind. Robotnik has been capable of getting his hands on those he can’t stand: often imprisoning them, holding them hostage, or getting them to sell out information about others as punishment.

Relationship with Sonic The Hedgehog

Robotnik’s relationship with Sonic the Hedgehog, the publicly known ‘freedom-fighter,’ is very rocky. Not only is Sonic responsible for almost all of his scheme’s downfalls, but the blue blue is also responsible for being such a pest that the doctor often finds himself having mental issues in regard to him. The development of anger issues, specifically, is a result of his sparring with the hedgehog. Additionally, all that are allied with Sonic the Hedgehog (The public people, Miles “Tails” Prowler, etc.)

Personality

Robotnik is an aggressive, short-tempered, loudmouthed figure of a human being, often getting heated at the tiniest of inconveniences. When speaking to his subjects, he often taunts, threatens, or even insults them as he gives them his orders. Additionally, his aggressiveness combined with his ingenuity makes him a force to be reckoned with. He is responsible for making several machines and robots used to destroy or negatively effect elements of life that either don’t serve him a purpose or oppose him entirely.

Scratch

Scratch is one of Robotnik’s many robotic developments, serving as the captain of the S.S.S.S.S. (Super Sonic Search and Smash Squad). Scratch is an unintelligent, foolish, and arrogant opponent to Robotnik’s enemies who seeks to impress his boss in any way possible. Scratch himself is an obnoxious, chicken-like robot: spirting red tail feathers, a yellow beak, and a red cockscomb. His counterpart, Grounder, is viewed as his ‘brother.’

Grounder

Grounder is a short, round mechanical robot with tracks instead of legs, and interchangeable parts that replace his hands. These vary from a very human-looking pair of hands to a variety of tools. His default, however, is a pair of drills. He is a light blue-green color, and is ordered to collaborate with his brother, Scratch, to carry out Robotnik’s orders. One final note: he is very, very unintelligent.

Coconuts

Coconuts is one of Robotnik’s creations; once serving in the aid of Sonic’s capture ‘till he was demoted to custodial duties. Since then, Coconuts’ hatred for Sonic has grown, causing him to aggressively seek out Dr. Robotnik’s enemies for capture, and his boss’s support. He is a red-colored, robotic monkey with a large siren-light on his head. His build is very short and thin, allowing him to nimbly move around, but gives him the backlash of not being all too physically fit to take on most people.

Anatomy

Robotnik is a rotund man with a ragged, ginger mustache. His head-shape is very conical, ending in a point. His eyes are rather red, emphasizing his malice and hatred he uses daily. The rest of his body is also very hefty, which Robotnik isn’t afraid to show (although, he does try to wear a corset for formal occasions). He wears red boots, which fit tightly on him. His red, black, and yellow bodysuit are his most identifying visual characteristic, adorned with a black and yellow belt. Additionally, he wears black gloves and steel gauntlets.
