Persona Attributes

Viggo Grimborn was the leader of the Dragon Hunters who wanted to use the Dragon Eye in order to hunt, capture, and sell dragons for profit. In his last days, he learned to respect dragons and allied with the Riders. He was a primary antagonist in Dragons: Race to the Edge.

Calm and collected, Viggo knows that knowledge equals power — especially when it comes to dragons! Unlike his older, more outwardly barbaric brother, Viggo Grimborn prefers finesse to brawn. An expert trap designer and manipulator of friends and foes alike, Viggo always plays the long game for power. As such, he has developed a twisted plan to use dragons to trap other dragons and sell them to the highest bidder. Viggo often lets Ryker handle the dirty work, but is not above administering his own cruel and unusual punishments from time to time. The younger Grimborn will stop at nothing to obtain the Dragon Eye. And if the Dragon Riders cannot stop him from doing so, they will surely witness the devastation wrought when absolute knowledge falls into the wrong hands.

Viggo wears a black leather tunic with red scales on his shoulders and around his waist. He also has spiked shoulder pads and a silver belt buckle with Dragon Hunters' tribal crest on it, and black wrist guards. He also wears a single holster strapped across his back. The holster is metal and looks like a dragon's head, with a jewel as an eye. Viggo has short black hair, large brown eyes, thick, full lips, and a French cut beard. He has three scars on the left side of his neck supposedly from a dragon. As a result of a burn injury sustained inside the volcano while attempting to retrieve the Dragon Eye, the left side of his face is severely scarred and he is blind in his left eye.

Viggo possesses an extensive expertise on dragons that rivals Hiccup's and may even be better. He often clashes with Hiccup and the riders over the Dragon Eye, which has belonged to his tribe of Dragon Hunters for centuries. Unlike his brother, Ryker, he's very intelligent, cunning, and incredibly devious. Viggo is a master tactician, using his intellect to outwit his enemies and having dangerously uncanny foresight. While caring for his brother, Viggo also takes pleasure in mocking him over his inferior intelligence and manners. He is also obsessed with the game Maces and Talons. Viggo is ruthless and has a low tolerance for failures and betrayals: In his first two appearances, he has one of his men dragged away as punishment for selling precious things without his permission. He also ordered Heather to be locked up after he discovered that she was in truth a spy. In "Return of Thor Bonecrusher", he wanted Jarg to be thrown into a Whispering Death tunnel for failing to acquire fish (though Krogan instead had him taken away to be tortured as punishment). After Ryker betrayed Viggo and took control of the Dragon Hunters and Project Shellfire for himself, Viggo showed no remorse over the latter's presumed death by the Submaripper and was instead apparently pleased. Viggo also appears to have very little care for his own men and is willing to sacrifice them to get what he wants. He let many of them die from the Scourge of Odin just so he could capture the Buffalord in "Buffalord Soldier". After sustaining his burns in the Edge's volcano, however, he seems to have changed somewhat on his views, as seen when he saved one of his men from falling into the lava in "The Wings of War, Part 1". As revealed in "Dawn of Destruction", Viggo hates taking orders from others.

Viggo's greatest tools are his razor-keen mind and unparalleled tactical instincts. Whether he's on the battlefield or in the middle of a game of Maces and Talons, Viggo's always several steps ahead of his opponents.

The four-winged stormcutter is Sharp Class flyer can turn its head so far around, it can see behind it. You can never sneak up on a Stormcutter! Flying on four wings, the Stormcutter carves spirals in the sky and shoots fiery arcs of destruction at its adversaries.

Stormcutters may be gargantuan but don't let the sheer size of its body distract you from the dragon's speed. This Sharp Class dragon can dart through the skies swiftly and stealthily. What a deadly combination!

Stormcutters are known for their large size, iridescent fish-like scales, and two pairs of wings. They have owlish mannerisms and a second set of wings under their main ones. Stormcutter dragons walk on this second set of wings and their hind legs. The wings can also come close together so they can appear to be one main pair. They have a very muscular and sturdy build. Their face has two long spines that branch off their brow to the side and they have a flattened, owlish face, making them seemingly brachycephalic. They have a three-finned tail, many spines down their back, and a large crown of spikes on their head that makes them look even more menacing.

Titan Wing Stormcutters look very similar to their Broad Wing counterparts, apart from differences in color and size. They have brown, leather-like scales. Their wings are red near the body, at the base, and gradually lightens into pale pink towards the edge. They have a larger crown and tail fin, and the spines along their back are bright red and larger.

Stormcutters "X-wing" beats up and down in sync and are probably used for extremely tight turns and maneuvers and for fighting foes. This body structure allows them to demonstrate accurate flight techniques such as navigating through narrow and complicated spaces, or hovering and even rest in mid-air. Having four wings allows for exceptional maneuverability. When they even walk they use their lower wings as forelegs while holding their upper wings against their sides. As demonstrated by Eir's Stormcutter, Stormcutters are capable of flying horizontally to attack.

Stormcutters can shoot a sustained blast of fire that is tornado-shaped, similar to the Typhoomerang. The fire is incredibly powerful, as Cloudjumper was able to ignite the entire Haddock House in seconds. Similar to a Monstrous Nightmare, Stormcutters also have flammable saliva. It was shown in a deleted scene that the saliva of dragons other than the Monstrous Nightmare can be for the Inferno. Though, in that scene, the Stormcutter's saliva produces an intense flame that was difficult to control.

Stormcutters are also strong enough to support humans on not just their back, but on their tail. A greater extent of their strength was shown in a deleted scene when Cloudjumper was able to rip apart one of Drago's war machines. The Guide to the Dragons, Volume 1 gives additional stats for the Stormcutter not seen with other species: Strength is rated at a '6', while Endurance is rated as "9". Stormcutters have hooked fore-talons on their wings that can be used to pick dragon trap locks or destroy an entire war machine. Their sharp talons are helpful to climb on mountains even upside down, as shown by Cloudjumper, much like bats
