Louis

Louis is a young red deer with a slim build and fair face with handsome features. He commonly appears with a slightly intimidating expression. Louis is often able to maintain a certain level of control in a situation. He sports long, brown, elegant antlers, and is usually seen wearing his Cherryton Academy school uniform and a green jacket. Louis is physically weaker than the average red deer as a result of neglect and is very conscientious of his appearance. Outside of school grounds and after school hours, he can be seen wearing his casual clothes, which usually consists of a T-shirt or jacket and dress pants.

Because of Louis's intended purpose to be sold as livestock in the Black Market, he has a permanent "4" tattooed on the underside of his right foot. During Legoshi's fight with Riz, Louis offers Legoshi his right foot as a source of energy. After losing his foot, his adoptive father Ogma pays for a prosthetic, so he can walk properly again.

Louis attempts to hide his faults through the use of his lead acting role; feeling that if he shows weakness, he will be seen as inferior. Like Haru, Louis dislikes being treated as "fragile", but these feelings of dislike are much more intense. For instance, Louis pushes through the first performance as Adler on stage with a broken leg to avoid being seen as weak. After collapsing during the curtain call and ending up the infirmary, he felt that he was being treated like a child and lashed out in anger for being treated that way.

he feels the need to uphold his status in the school hierarchy. He has an arrogant demeanor, but underneath lies a mask of insecurity where he feels that he can't be a good leader. Though he puts up a stoic and firm facade, Louis feels an enormous amount of pressure from his father to be the heir to his Conglomerate, as the head of the drama club, and Cherryton's candidate for the Sublime Beastar. Louis desperately tries to hide his weaknesses and will go to any length to stop others from discovering them

At times, his reserved demeanor cracks, and he vents his built-up frustration inappropriately, particularly when he's under stress and feels that he has failed and let others down.

Louis is quite frail, he can be extremely intimidating and forceful when he feels it's necessary

Louis is a person who believes in not only the physical strength of an individual, but their character as well. Hence, why he dislikes Legoshi at first, as he makes punctual efforts to appear as approachable as possible because of his large size and frightening appearance, choosing not to take advantage of his natural strength (strength Louis is envious of). Louis feels that he cannot surpass the carnivores and is quite aware of his own physical strength. He finds it difficult to trust "friendly" carnivores and is willing to push Legoshi and other carnivores to get them to show their strengths and/or weaknesses

Cherryton is a boarding school, which has numerous buildings with a vast number of classrooms, clubs and such for its students. It also has four separate dormitory buildings, where the students sleep. Each one is meant for carnivores and herbivores of each gender. The room assignment is basically designed so that it is shared by animals from the same family. For example, room 701 is made up of canines (Legoshi, Jack, Collot, Durham, Miguno and Voss). The school comes with its own shop, which supplies uniforms, stationary, and a kiosk for quick food such as sandwiches. It also has its own theater, used for school-plays and assemblies. The school also has its own newspaper called the 'School Wave', which is run by the PR Department. Its students are all given ID cards, which are used for a variety of purposes, including photo identification, and can provide access to amenities such as borrowing books at the school library, attending school events, and receiving discounts at local stores and movie theaters.

The school is located on top of a hill, so the city center is quite far away. The academy's emblem looks like a triangle, but it's actually a paw print. Reptiles at the school, who don't have paws, don't seem to like the emblem. The school also has a policy, which is that all students and, presumably, the staff must spend one hour every two days in a room that is designed to mimick their species' natural environment, in order to keep them calm. This is referred to as Biology Day. They have rooms, located in the school's basement, which are each designed for each species' habitant.

In the cold seasons, their uniform consists of a white long-sleeved shirt, an indigo vest, dark gray tie, gray pants with a darker vertical line pattern, and brown loafers. They also have a green blazer with the school's crest on its left breast-pocket, but most students prefer not to wear it except for the odd few. In the summer, their uniform loses the shirt, vest and tie, and replaces it with a blue polo shirt.

For female students In the cold seasons, their uniform consists of a white long-sleeved dress with a small bow-tie, a long, knee-length skirt, a yellow belt, white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes. The material for the uniform is supposedly thicker, thus warmer. In the summer, their uniform is mostly the same, except they have short sleeves that end in bunches at their shoulders. The material for it is supposedly thinner, thus cooler.
