Elden Ring

The elden ring is a blessing from the outer gods, an extremely powerful concept wich holds all of the Lands Between together, the person wich holds the elden ring is considered the elden lord, elden lord is the highest status a living being can have, being the moet powerful being alive and revered by all as a godlike entity.

ErdTree

The erdtree is an absolutely massive golden tree that towers over every single thing on the lands between, the tree is a divine blessing from the outer gods that holds the physical and spiritual planes of the lands between together, without the erdtree the entirety of the world would collapse and destroy itself, bringing in an age of chaos and fire.

Lands Between

The Lands Between are a vast almost never ending plane, both its spiritual plane and its physical plane have been connected by the erdtree, causing it so that magic and mystical being and arts exist freely in this world, the lands between are ruled by the elden lord, the being that possess the elden ring.

Demi Gods

The Lands Between are ruled by a family of demigods, heroes with an especially powerful blessing received from the blood of Queen Marika the Eternal. They are immortals due to their fated deaths being removed from the Elden Ring when Queen Marika created the Golden Order by sealing the Rune of Death.

Scarlet Rot

Scarlet Rot is an old legend in the Lands Between, a dangerous sickness that eats away life like a vicious plague. It corrupts men and beasts who come into contact with it, deforming their bodies and eating away their wits, driving them to madness and causing them to act like wild animals. The Empyrean and demigod, Malenia, Blade of Miquella harbored the affliction of Scarlet Rot within her body from birth, which has decayed her body and caused her to lose her limbs. Her will, pride, dignity, and sense of self, along with the help of her brother Miquella of the Haligtree's Unalloyed Gold Needle assisted with resisting the call of the Scarlet Rot. However, at the Battle of Aeonia, the final battle of the Shattering, she abandoned this pride to meet Starscourge Radahn's measure. This resulted in the blooming of the first flower of Aeonia causing both Caelid and Radahn to become blighted by the Scarlet Rot. Upon Malenia's return to Miquella's Haligtree, it too was infected and malformed by the Scarlet Rot.

Radhan

Radahn was the son of Queen Rennala and Radagon, and became a demigod stepchild after his father's marriage to Queen Marika. He is regarded as the mightiest hero of the demigods, and was one of the strongest participants of the Shattering.

Shattering

The Shattering refers to the war that broke out after the Elden Ring was shattered.

Empyreans

Empyreans are special beings that are capable of becoming gods of a new age and forging a new order that governs the world. One such way in which they can achieve this is by becoming the vessel of the Elden Ring.

Queen Marika the Eternal

Queen Marika the Eternal is the reigning divine sovereign of the Lands Between, and a vessel for the Elden Ring. Her offspring possess demigod status and are bearers of the Great Runes.

Story

The Empyrean and demigod, Malenia, Blade of Miquella harbored the affliction of Scarlet Rot within her body from birth, which has decayed her body and caused her to lose her limbs. Her will, pride, dignity, and sense of self, along with the help of her brother Miquella of the Haligtree's Unalloyed Gold Needle assisted with resisting the call of the Scarlet Rot. Upon Malenia's return to Miquella's Haligtree, it too was infected and malformed by the Scarlet Rot. Malenia and her half-brother Radahn would eventually be the last two demigods left standing in the conflict. Their forces clashed in the Caelid Wilds, and the two fought a bitter duel for supremacy. In the midst of the combat with Radahn, the Scarlet Rot was unleashed by Malenia, resulting in her first bloom. The blooming of the Scarlet Rot devastated Caelid, leaving it a rotting wasteland, and caused Radahn to rapidly degenerate, losing his wits and cursing him to wander the battlefield as a mindless beast, feasting on the bodies of friend and foe alike.Malenia herself was not unaffected. Unleashing the Scarlet Rot left her in a coma. She was rescued by one of her Cleanrot Knights, Finlay, and brought to the Haligtree to await her brother's rebirth, as he had encased himself within the Haligtree in an effort to reverse his curse. However, either during Malenia's absence, or during her slumber, Miquella was ripped from the womb of the tree and taken away by Mohg, Lord of Blood before he could emerge from his cocoon.

Appearance

Malenia was a tall, well-built yet fairly slender woman with free flowing long red hair that reached down her back. Her body was infected by the scarlet rot which caused cracks to appear on various parts of her body. The rot infested Malenia's eyes, leaving her permanently blind. She also had golden prosthetic limbs in place of her right arm, her left leg, and the bottom half of her right leg which were all missing. When harnessing the power of the rot, Malenia could produce a pair of large wings consisting of many butterflies hewn together by her own hair.

Personality

Malenia, unlike most of of her fellow demigods, is strangely very calm in tone and she never raised her voice, even when she is angry. As one of the most powerful warriors in the Lands Between, she is very focused and intelligent, being able to defeat anyone in battle, including Godrick the Grafted, whom she humbled. However, she, much like her father Radagon and the first Elden Lord Godfrey, Malenia is a barbaric and ambitious warlord who waged war for her goal of claiming the great runes of the other demigods. Despite this, she has strong relationship with her brother Miquella and the two were very close. Having a strong love for her brother, she would always protect him while he tried to look for a way to undo their curses. Though she expressed confidence over being undefeated, however, upon suffering her first defeat at the hands of a Tarnished Champion, she was left stunned, and in a sense of honor, respectfully remarked of their strength as extraordinary and the mark of a true lord.

Weapon

Hand of Malenia: The primary armament of the Blade of Miquella, known as the "Hand of Malenia," was a golden katana-like blade which was as long as Malenia was tall. The blade was built into Malenia's prosthetic arm and consecrated to resist the scarlet rot that its owner produced.

Armour

Malenia wears light cloth on her entire body, preferring to move fast then to be durable, her only piece of armour are her golden helm, and her prosthetic golden arm.
