When fully equipped in battle, she dons the SP//dr mechanical suit which covers most of her body except for certain areas such as around the neckline or groin region, where they are left exposed, revealing the underlying cybernetic machinery beneath them that connects to SP//dr. The mechanical suit when it forms an armor around Peni during combat situations, provides protection from physical harm as she fights villains across the multiverse as part of the Spider-Force team under the direct supervision of Kaine, who acts as a mentor and guides the rookie heroine through the learning process in harsh terrain, but also as a caring friend, offering the emotional support needed after intense battles where casualties are unfortunately inevitable.

At one point, Peni was bitten by a spider with whom she formed a psychic bond. The spider was housed inside her father's robot, and together, they became the crime-fighting unit known as SP//dr. Peni is extremely intelligent, at least on par with Earth-1610's Peter Parker in terms of technical ability. She is also brave, friendly, and overall a carefree person. Being one of the youngest of the Spider-people, she is also very energetic, optimistic, cheerful, and full of life, as she often takes on poses of a magical girl or idol singer, and she loves jpop, sweets, and comics. However, despite her optimistic nature, she is shown to be a bit ruthless, harsh, aggressive, conceited, and vain for someone optimistic and young.
