Fred

Fred, originally named WA02, is one of the Faceless Workers from the Federation. His first appearance was on September 12, 2023, seen repairing the road destroyed in Spawn by the Capybaras, who were having fun and blowing up people. Fred was a newly hired worker ordered to clean up all the mess caused by the island's residents, specifically on the day where there were explosions that destroyed roads and bridges and a lava cast that covered the entire Election Tower, caused by Philza, Fit and Tubbo as a protest against the Federation. Since then he has been seen doing various tasks for the Federation such as conducting interviews and interrogations in order to try and work out where a missing worker had gone.

Physiology

Fred is a faceless white Federation Worker with black paws wearing a dark blue helmet and a cyan vest of a mason with tools. His clothing is similar to the common Federation Builders except his clothes are blue rather than the typical orange which is assumed to indicate a higher rank than the orange clothes. He may be slow at times due to suffering with asthma.

Personality

Fred acts in accordance to how a typical Federation worker is expected to act. In his letters with Tubbo he has shown that he doesn't have a good understanding of modern terminology or phrases and often uses Internet Explorer to understand words or phrases that Tubbo uses in his letters. Fred is seen to have romantic feelings for Tubbo and expresses his affections through flower language, a language popularised in the Victorian era, suggesting Fred may have a love for vintage mannerisms which explains his lack of understanding of modern slang and technology. Fred is also fairly empathetic towards the islanders, expressing sympathy for the parents of the island when told that the eggs had gone missing and understanding when to leave them alone if his Federation duties are completed. After some time exchanging letters with Tubbo, he even started to question his own position on the Federation and his own morals, later claiming that he had done bad things suggesting he had re-evaluated his values.

History

He reappeared in the Favela with Ged. At some point, Cellbit passed him and was confused as to what they were doing, but just went straight to where he was going. Fred was making a strange noise, like a "beep" and Forever said that they were part of his boy band.

Tubbo

Tubbo was the first person to speak to Fred and was responsible for naming him. He asked him some questions, like how he joined the Federation and who his boss is. Tubbo taught him what a Friend is and tried to help him destroy the cobblestones in the Election Tower that he was ordered to break, making Fred ask why he was being so nice to him. Tubbo and Fred regularly exchange letters, starting out by leaving them underneath their bench then leaving them in a mailbox that Fred made. Fred and Tubbo often share information with each other that they wouldn't consider sharing to anyone else such as when Fred willingly told him about the nature of his investigation into BadBoyHalo. Fred also shows his affection for Tubbo via flower language, some of the flowers he had left meaning love or forbidden love showing how much Fred cares about Tubbo, when asked if Tubbo was Fred's friend, Fred said that Tubbo was "something else". When Bagi let it slip that Tubbo had a crush on him, Fred didn't reciprocate these feelings and chose to keep their relationship platonic. Although, when Tubbo addressed him as just "Fred" instead of "Dear Fred" in a letter, Fred displayed signs of being hurt (in his book on day 200 )by the fact Tubbo didn't speak to him as usual. Tubbo made him feel confused about his feelings but he knew Tubbo had helped him and had a kind personality.

Cellbit

When Fred properly met Cellbit he had never heard of him, this made Cellbit confused and start bragging about his status of "Employee of the Month" and claiming that he was way above Fred in terms of status as a Federation worker. Before Fred could respond, Tubbo came to his defence and told Cellbit that he is a C rank worker while Fred is A rank.

Walter Bob / WCO6

In his book on day 200, Fred tells Tubbo he doesn't want to end up like WC06- implying he knew something bad had happened to Walter because of his relationship with Mike.

Cucurocho

Fred has never met Cucurucho and only knows them as the Census Bureau. He does, however, recognise them if given a description of their appearance. Neutral.

BadBoyHalo

BadBoyHalo is the primary suspect of Fred's investigation into where the missing lower rank worker is. Fred's interrogation of Bad was more thorough than others he has carried out and Fred seems to be somewhat scared of Bad. Fred mentioned in a letter how he felt wrong spying on Bad and had to get a guard to stay with him at all times for protection just in case.

The Fred skin is exactly the Builders table, but with shades of blue. This is because he is a rank A worker. Fred is labeled as WA02, meaning he is rank A worker number two. Fred stated to Tubbo that he was born between 1998-2005

AyPierre

Although Fred does not know that the masked man who kidnapped them is Pierre, they know that the masked man is a "Friend" of Pierre. When Fred told Tubbo about the kidnapping, Tubbo told Fred to stay away from Pierre and only to be around him if Fred had backup (in the form of multiple guards) for protection. Tubbo also told Fred that it was suspicious that the masked man and Pierre had the same shirt which Fred noted. Neutral/Negative.

Faceless Workers

As seen when Quackity disguised himself as Fred to participate in A0 Project Event, Fred seems to be very respected and well liked by other Federation employees, all the ranked workers seen have cared about them and their well-being, and they seem to respect their romantic interest in Tubbo after learning about the rumours.

When Tubbo first saw Fred, he played two long tones with a long space between (two letter "T"s in morse code) and Tubbo asked if he could hear the noise, and Fred gave him a book which is different from how Fred normally types. Fred played long tone again two different times (still maybe "- -" in morse code, which is "T T") and gave him a book saying that he was just working and nothing else. They talked for a bit and Tubbo tried to get him to take a tour of his factory. Fred then said "no" just like Cucurucho and walked away, Tubbo asked if he could speak and he said "si" and then "no", which Tubbo interpreted as he can speak but he's not supposed to. Fred walked away, and while walking away did the "- -" again and dropped a book while walking for Tubbo to pick up. He then lost sight of Fred for a little while, but then he heard I think ". -" which is "E T" while searching for him. He found Fred by the bench, putting a book in a chest under the dirt and pretended to act normal, Rred basically told him to leave and come back so he did, and found this book in the chest that he's been unable to decipher so far (wpshuudu 1rp qux). The book just changed in his inventory, showing a message with a "Tomorrow".

September 14, 2023 / Day 176

Tubbo and Fit took Pac to the elevator shaft to tell him about the book he had received from Fred. Pac told him about how Walter Bob had been in a similar situation and that he could befriend Fred. Pac even offered for Tubbo to bring Fred to Ramón's Barbershop so they could give him a makeover but Tubbo declined. As the set time came, Tubbo waited anxiously for Fred's arrival at his house. Fit came over just to check on him and wish him luck, telling him that Tubbo could count on him if he needed backup before leaving him. Tubbo left the majority of his things in a chest and then warped to spawn to see if he could find Fred. He didn't find anything at the bench where Fred had left him a message previously. After looking through Fred's clipboard he found out that Fred was likely in charge of the "yellow hat" workers and he had written up BadBoyHalo for coming to him in a threatening manner. Tubbo returned to Tubhaus to see if Fred had come to him, only getting more and more jumpy and nervous as time went on. He found a book detailing a specific time and location for the two to meet, saying to tell no one. When he was at the specified location and time, he came across Slimecicle by accident, diverting his attention for a few minutes before Fit and Roier also joined them. Tubbo found that Roier, Charlie and himself had books but Fit did not. After convincing Fit to leave so they could talk freely, the three remaining book holders began discussing their information together. Eventually they figured out that they each had one coordinate to make the place they needed to go. They found Fred under the wall. He seemed very on edge, pulling out a gun and shooting them at some points before taking them through a tunnel in the wall and telling them to be quiet. After leading them through the tunnel and passing by a ladder, Fred told them they had to go alone. They found themselves in a massive labyrinth made of stone with various mobs within it's walls. They kept catching glimpses of Fred leading them through the maze to a button and a Federation door then to something like a Federation hub.

September 18, 2023 / Day 180

Tubbo wrote a letter to Fred and left it at their bench, telling him how the letters were the best part of his day. Page 1 of 3Mr. Tubbo, I understand the modern term you described now to me. As soon as Tubbo logged in he went to check what Fred had written to him. Fred had written back the meaning of an iconic Technoblade phrase that Tubbo had told him in the previous letter and a few other things. Tubbo then wrote back to him. When Tubbo later finally logged on by himself his first course of action was to check and see if Fred had left him a letter.
