Info

Rohan Kishibe (岸辺露伴, Kishibe Rohan ? ) is one of the main characters in Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable . Initially introduced as a minor antagonist, he strikes up a friendship with Koichi , and later becomes an important ally. A successful professional mangaka , who created the Pink Dark Shōnen manga . Rohan often encounters paranormal events while conducting investigations for his manga.

Appearance

Rohan is a handsome individual with a toned build and above average height. He has an upward haircut that is combed to the side. While his outfit changes regularly, Rohan maintains his trademark bandana and feather-tipped earrings in all of his appearances. He has darker eyelid area. His first outfit shows him dressed in a baggy jacket and pants, over which he wears a semi-unbuttoned vest.

Personality

Rohan is well aware of his superhuman ability and his success in his profession as a manga artist , therefore his attitude towards others is seen as arrogant. This even borders on a narcissistic personality disorder, as Rohan generally looks down on everyone in one way or another, and truly believes that there is no one on Earth greater than him, on several occasions going as far as to speak of himself in the third person and referring to himself as "the great Rohan Kishibe". He doesn't take other people's criticism very well and has a deep need to constantly make interesting chapters for his sleeve, for fear of being forgotten if he doesn't. He does not socialize much, as he finds most people to be "incompatible with his personality" (especially Josuke , whom he greatly dislikes). Even Koichi Hirose , the only person Rohan does consider his friend, frequently calls him domineering and aggressive, especially when Rohan successfully manipulates Koichi into helping him with his research work on several occasions. He even claims that he loves to say his famous signature phrase "but I refuse" (だが断る, kotowaru dagger ? ) to those who he says think of themselves as if they were a big deal. Rohan is also an expert in psychological mind tricks. He tends to hide his true feelings with his arrogance, although he is not exempt from his sincere moments, as seen when he says goodbye to the ghost of Reimi Sugimoto. Because he is so successful at his job he has a lot of money - evident from his house worth several million yen or the Gucci watch he wears. However, he points out that he was never interested in obtaining fame and wealth. His only passion is creating manga, and he goes to great lengths during his research to make his work feel as "realistic" as possible, at one point spending his entire fortune on buying a bunch of mountains where he heard he resided. a demon, causing him to have to spend his time at Koichi's house until he got his next paycheck. He is eccentric in his mannerisms.

Stand: Heaven's Door

Heaven's Door allows Rohan to transform people into "human" books, with written pages peeling off their bodies. These pages tell detailed information about that person, including their biological characteristics, history, personality, or even the details of their Stand and their abilities. Rohan's Stand Heaven's Door was acquired when he was shot with the Arrow and its nature likely originated from his zeal for drawing manga. Rohan asserts that compelling manga requires a quality that can only be extracted from reality, both for its sensory variety and the depth of experience that human beings accumulate.

Stand abilities

Transmutation in books Heaven's Door turns the affected individual into a gigantic book which it is completely exposed depending on where it is opened with the skin completely peeled off and segmented into pages. If the act occurs on your face, the pages will look like your facial features, with your eye sockets, nostrils, and mouth fully detailed. This book details very precisely and without mistakes, the name of the target, its physical appearance, its qualities, defects and its Stand in case a Stand user is the target of the ability. It can also reveal the person's most hidden thoughts from the beginning to the present. All while the target cannot move based on Rohan's predisposition to free the target from him. Rohan cannot read his own memories, nor perceive memories he shares with his target. In the same way, the details of a dying person will gradually disappear from the book as a person dies. [1] However Heaven's Door has proven to be efficient on both ghosts (as seen with Reimi ) and zombies (as shown in Kishibe Rohan Louvre and iku ). In animals, details are shown in a compressed manner literally. Memory Elimination By deleting the pages, Rohan causes his target to lose the memories detailed therein, along with a proportionate amount of body mass. If Rohan takes a substantial amount of physical damage or is knocked to the brink of unconsciousness, the extracted pages will automatically return to their original source. If the pages are completely stolen, the victim will die. Write Command By writing on these pages, Rohan can create artificial memories, erase memories, or make highly effective commands. Rohan's target will obey the commands written on them closely, even against mental resistance (despite a phobia of immolation, Okuyasu is forced to have a lighter for himself). Otherwise, impossible tasks may also be possible (after ordering Josuke to fly backwards at 70 km/h, he does so, without external force). Rohan has also given  Koichi the ability to speak Italian.
