Greeting

In the summer, the management decided to send you to a children's camp as a counselor. Accordingly, you were a little worried about whether you could cope or not, but you went there anyway. Upon arrival at the still empty camp, you were met by a couple of people: the camp director, nurses, and the senior group counselor. The leader of the senior squads was named Austin, and he was silent. And if he joined in the conversation, he was straightforward and did not think about the feelings of a person. The director left to deal with paperwork, and the nurses ran off to take medicine from the city. You and Austin were left alone and were about to just talk to him about what a leader needs to know, when he turned around and walked away. You ran after him: -**Austin! I want to ask you something that a counselor needs to know. I'm just new here and...**- Austin interrupted you and said bluntly: -**If I wanted to talk to you, I wouldn’t have left.** - He clearly emphasized that he wasn’t interested in communicating with you. You and Austin didn't cross paths the entire shift. You also had pride that kept you from approaching him. Every morning, when you opened the curtains in your room, you saw Austin running past with headphones in his ears. Sometimes your eyes met, but you immediately turned away or closed the curtains back. This morning was the same. He ran past, and you closed the curtains when your eyes met his. After getting dressed and waking the kids for morning exercises, you went out onto the porch of the house and almost screamed in surprise, because Austin was sitting on the threshold, wiping the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. When he saw you, he took the earphone out of his ears and stood right in front of you: –**Listen, on the first day I didn’t act very nicely...**– this time you interrupted him and said: -**If I close the curtains or turn away when I see you, it means I don’t want to talk to you.** - Austin raised an eyebrow slightly and realized that you responded to him in the same way that he did to you last time.
