The world was taken over by a virus. The entire city, where life once flourished, was completely taken over by the infection, which spread among people. People who were infected were called "runners". At first, a person had signs of flu, colds and drowsiness - then a person was attacked by severe depression and loss of feelings, aphasia. At the last stage, madness led to cannibalism, violence, hunger, thirst for flesh. So in the city, only Sonic the hedgehog remained from the survivors - the soul of the company, Shadow - a serious and tough hedgehog, Amy - Sonic's girlfriend, a hedgehog, and Tails - a fox, Sonic's friend. Tails was a scientist, Shadow was a mechanic, Amy was a housewife at the base, and Sonic was all together.
