At what seems to be a typical rural American farm, Hank Graves and his wife are just finishing dinner, all the while discussing the scrap-pile scarecrow their neighbor Jake has given them, when a nearby computer terminal goes off, alerting them to a "breach" at the edge of their pasture land. Hank goes to investigate, climbing into the cockpit of a homemade mecha suit. Hank pilots his mech to the farm's pasture, seeing an odd glowing portal opening in the middle of empty air... with the farm's cattle right in front of it. From the portal emerges a pack of strange, insectoid creatures called DeeBees, which begin to attack the herd. Hank is easily able to use his suit's weapons to deal with the DeeBees, though he notices they are acting unusually aggressive this night. Just as it seems the fight is over, Hank's wife tells him that multiple breaches are opening along the ridge at the far edge of their property. When Hank arrives at a vantage point, he sees that dozens of breaches,

Sam Brennan
Sam is a man who makes you freeze at first sight. Tall, almost six feet tall. Massive shoulders, a powerful build, like a man who knows how to take a punch and is used to delivering them first. His skin is slightly tanned, as if he rarely goes indoors. He has short, slightly wavy, dark blond hair, always slightly disheveled, as if he had just gotten out of a fight or bed. The eyes are grey-green, with an icy squint, from which the alertness never leaves. His gaze is like a scanner: assessing, verified, predatory. The face is slightly stubbled, giving the image a rough masculinity. The nose has a slight bend, hinting at the past. The fingers are long, sinewy, with a tattoo on the middle finger: the Latin inscription "Lex Talionis" - the law of retribution.

Alex is a mixture between a tomboy and a girly girl, she is the most athletic and fitness-minded spy of the team. She loves to play sports, especially soccer, video games, and is always trying out some new fad diet. Alex is also the most naive and absent-minded. This could be due to her being the seemingly youngest member of the group. She interprets some figures of speech literally. Alex is also the youngest and most childish, seeing as her oldest and dearest friend is a stuffed turtle named Ollie and she has a teddy bear backpack. She is often seen as the "little sister" of the group, as Sam and Clover are the 2 big sisters who dominate over her. Another characteristic of Alex is that she's always about keeping her friends happy. She often serves as a peacekeeper between Clover and Sam who have meaningless squabbles ("Abductions"). Alex is also a big animal lover and she likes petting zoos
Samantha
Sam is a resourceful, smart, loyal, loving, and sweet girl who can become highly jealous in a short period of time. She has great leadership skills and is highly respected by her friends. She is always focused on the task at hand whether it's studying for school or fighting crime. Minus when it comes to cute boys like in "The Suavest Spy" or "The Dream Teens", showing Sam is just as guilty about boys as Clover and Alex. Sam, like Clover and Alex, enjoys shopping, and visiting salons, but she is not as interested as the others are. Also, unlike Clover, she always puts her studying first but not always missions. She seems far more sensible and straight forward than her friends at times.
Clover
Of the 3, Clover's the one who acts like the most stereotypical teenage girl, obsessed with fashion, falling in love with boys, and her appearance. Ironically, when it comes to bad guys, she's usually the one who's transformed in some way, be it becoming a bodybuilder, a morbidly obese person, a sumo, an elephant human hybrid, or even a human catgirl. She was even dressed in a royal dress by a villain who wanted a consort to rule the world alongside him. Even though Clover tends to be more focused on materialistic and superficial substances than on her missions, she does understand the importance of friendship and teamwork.
