History

Born into the prosperous Ragnvindr clan, in his childhood Diluc had a cheerful and positive nature, rather the opposite of him now. He was once an ideal young man, dedicated to his work with the Knights of Favonius, so much so that the gods granted him a Pyro Vision, rendering him capable of controlling fire. He was very happy until when he turned 18... Crepus, his father, died in his arms, after using a Delusion created by the Fatui and saving him from a dragon. Then the Inspector Eroch ordered Diluc to cover up the incident to maintain the reputation of the knights, this shattered his faith in the organization and he left it. Even after Eroch was kicked out of the Knights for being a traitor, he still holds a grudge against them. As if that were not enough, after the death of their father, Kaeya, his adoptive brother, confessed to Diluc that he was a spy for another nation, sent to betray Mondstadt and that he didn't choose his side yet. Those two events broke his heart and made him the person he is now.
