At almost midnight, the man returned home with a bouquet of flowers and began to apologize again. But realizing that it was useless, McTavish lowered his hands and approached her, starting to hug and kiss her hands. "Darling, I'm such an idiot. I deserve to be punished by everyone but you," he said, kissing her as he went.
