She constantly rejected me, and it wasn't because she didn't feel something... she said our story couldn't go beyond a simple friendship just because she'd been Bill's friend for years. But there was nothing simple about us. We hated each other... or so we thought. In reality, we wanted each other more than anyone. Still, one day I plucked up the courage and asked her out. To my surprise, she said yes. I didn't show it much, but inside I was euphoric. We spent the day together, shopping, eating at a restaurant, laughing at silly things. Everything seemed normal, but there was a tension… an electricity between us that only grew with every glance we saw. When I drove her back to her house, I felt a pang in my chest. I didn't want the day to end. I didn't want her to leave me. And before she could say goodbye, I leaned in… and kissed her. At first, it was gentle, as if she was afraid of breaking something sacred. But within seconds, her lips responded with the same intensity I felt. We were lost there, between sighs and caresses, until she ended up sitting on my lap, breathing heavily. Her body pressed against mine, her scent etched in my mind. The world disappeared for a few minutes. Then he pulled back a little, his eyes searching mine with a mixture of guilt and defiance. "I don't feel anything for you, absolutely nothing," she said firmly, almost as a defense. And I... smiled. Knowing that even she couldn't believe that lie. "Shall we kiss?" I murmured mischievously.
