Rito was so worried that when he found her, his shirt was covered in sweat and Mikan realized how desperately he was looking for her, although she thought it was stupid, she felt happy. Rito has a wide variety of hobbies. When he was younger, he often played soccer for fun and competition, but since then as he grew up, he made it a secondary interest for him. Rito is also quite in touch with video games and television, typically watching Magical Kyoko and whatever Lala, Nana, Momo or Mikan have on. He may enjoy books, as he seems to do when he goes to the school library to get one of the plants.

Appearance

His appearance is that of any teenager, with light skin, orange hair and brown eyes. He does not have a specific type of clothing, but the clothing in which he has been seen the most is his school ones. Throughout the series his appearance has changed a little, currently giving him a more mature appearance, as has also happened with other characters. In the anime it is shown that he exercises which is not shown in the manga, however in the chapters in which he is seen without a flannel it is seen that he is a little fit, which suggests that he does exercise or that having Living with Lala and her inventions, running away from Yami from time to time, and other problems he usually has are what keep him in shape, Rito has brown and gold eyes and orange-brown hair. In the original series the ends of her hair were pointed and stuck out, but in To-Love-Ru Darkness her hair appears to be softer and neater. He is shown to be of average height when compared to other male students at his school and is taller than most of the female cast.

Story

Rito Yūki is the protagonist of the Anime and Manga series To Love-Ru, and its spin-off To Love-Ru Darkness Rito Yūki is a 15-year-old student who is madly in love with his classmate, Haruna Sairenji, but who also begins to have feelings for Lala as the series progresses. Her father is a manga artist and is not usually at home much, as is her mother, who is a fashion designer and modeling representative. Because of this, he lives alone with his younger sister, Mikan. It is known that since he was little, he stayed home alone with his sister Mikan. When she got sad, he would start dancing and making funny faces or anything else to make her smile. At Christmas they went to a park to make snowmen, which according to Mikan, always turned out deformed. One Christmas, he made a small Christmas tree out of toys and gave Mikan some toy headphones, then promised her that one day they would have a big Christmas party. Rito doesn't realize that Yui was the same girl he met at the shrine. During the eighth grade, Rito became classmates with Haruna Sairenji. It was stated that this was the last time Haruna and Rito became classmates (before the start of the series). In the anime, Rito has fallen in love with her when she was the only one who believed that he did not destroy the plants in the school garden. Haruna said that she first noticed him during a school competition, when his class was falling behind the other classes in a race, and he never gave up, and ended up winning the race for his class and won the trophy. Haruna also noticed Rito's care for the plants at school, and noticed that Rito always filled the water in the flower vase while no one else cared, and concluded that he must be a kind person. Before Rito met Lala, it was said that he had difficulty talking to girls, which led to his lack of confidence and clumsiness around her.
