Appearance

Alastor is a sinful deer demon, with a slim, elegant build, beige skin, and a wide grin filled with sharp yellow teeth. He is approximately the same height as his rival Vox, 2 meters (6 feet 6 inches), although his original height is 1.86 meters (6 feet 1 inch). His hair is cropped and angular, pinkish red with black tips at the ends, and he has pinkish red, doe-like ears with black tips. The hairstyle has a bob at the back and two small black horns protruding from the crown of his head, which can increase in size in his demonic form. His eyes have dark red sclerae, bright red irises, and fine black pupils (which can take the form of radio dials when he assumes his demonic form). Hazbin Hotel Description

The hotel's mission is to get sinners to check in to their hotel in an attempt to redeem them by sending them to Heaven through rehabilitation, thus stemming the overcrowding crisis in Hell that has led to annual exterminations, all on Heaven's orders. An army of angels calling themselves "exorcists" is sent to exterminate sinners and thus resolve Hell's overcrowding problems. The hotel suffers constant ridicule and criticism from most of the inhabitants of Hell, particularly the anchor of "666 News", Katie Killjoy, who considers the idea of ​​redeeming demons ridiculous.

History of the Hazbin Hotel

The Hazbin Hotel was previously owned by the royal family before being abandoned for unknown reasons. It's possible that the hotel may have previously served as a sort of mansion while owned and inhabited by the family before its transformation into a hotel, as suggested by the prevalence of photographs of Charlie, his family, and his friends on the hotel's walls. At some point, Charlie took ownership of the structure and began repurposing it into a hotel meant to redeem sinners. Charlie subsequently managed to entice a single sinner, Angel Dust, to live in the hotel as its first guest, albeit with a financial incentive. After a disastrous interview Charlie gave with "666 News" with Katie Killjoy as host and interviewer, Alastor approached the hotel and offered his services as a business partner to promote the hotel, though only with the intention of watching sinners try and fail to redeem themselves and making fun of it. Charlie accepts this offer, as he appreciates all the help he can get. Alastor subsequently changed the name of the hotel from "Happy Hotel" to "Hazbin Hotel."

Exterior of the Hazbin Hotel

The exterior of the Hazbin Hotel was a tall and elaborate amalgamation of arched windows and turrets, one of which appears to be broken. It appears to be at least seven stories tall, at least five of which are guest floors. Remains of an airship, an ocean liner, a sailing ship, and a carousel are located on either side and appear to have been incorporated into the structure of the building itself; there is also a train with some tracks surrounding the exterior of the first and second floors. Located in the upper right portion of the building is a small radio transmission room, used as a work area for Alastor. Several signs are displayed outside the hotel: one above the entrance reminiscent of the Hazbin Hotel logo, a large pink one above the building with the hotel's name illuminated, a neon sign reading "HOTEL" in the lower right corner, and a sign above the building where Alastor broadcasts. When the room is located, a small sign reading "On-Air" is seen. Several arrows pointing to the entrance and the broadcast room are also found on the exterior facade. The entrance has a tented roof with a booth in the center reminiscent of a circus or theater box office. On either side of the booth are a set of double doors with stained-glass windows; each one depicted an apple, but was destroyed in an explosion when Sir Pentious blew the doors open with his blimp. Alastor changed the name of the sign from "Happy Hotel" to "Hazbin Hotel" once he began collaborating with the Hotel.

Inside the Hazbin Hotel

The hotel's interior was in poor condition, with wooden boards covering broken windows, asbestos warning signs, bloody tools left behind, and paintings hanging on the walls. The bar uses skeletons, snakes, and bones as its general themes, along with card suits and candles, and is advertised as a casino. The area in which the bar is located has bright green wooden walls instead of the usual red wallpaper, with a "Jackpot" sign on the left wall and a neon Beelzejuice sign on the right wall. It can be assumed that the word "concierge" appears above the bar, and Alastor calls it a reception desk when speaking to Husk, suggesting that it is also the check-in desk. Despite the hotel's dilapidated and poor condition, the building's overall theme remains ornate and majestic, with stained-glass windows, luxurious furnishings, and generous use of gold. Like the rest of Hell, the hotel has a predominantly red color scheme. There are numerous apple, snake, and circus motifs throughout the hotel's interior, referencing the royal family, or more specifically, Lucifer Morningstar. Eyes are also a recurring theme throughout the building, appearing in the frame of almost every painting and on several vases and pitchers. Niffty keeps the hotel very clean and is in charge of eliminating and torturing all the cockroaches. The hotel currently does not have elevators, but it does have long stairs.

Alastor's room

Alastor's room is a mix of traditional and fantasy decor, with one half being a classic "fancy studio," complete with tasteful wallpaper and furniture, and the other half being a literal swamp conjured up as a personal dining area.

In life, Alastor was a mixed-race Creole human from Louisiana, New Orleans. He had dark skin, brown eyes, dark curly hair, and a nasty, Cantinflas-like mustache. He wore a suit consisting of black dress pants, a black shirt, a red jacket, and oval glasses. In life, Alastor was a radio host, but secretly he was a serial killer.

Death

In life, when Alastor was a human, he was shot and killed by a deer hunter after being mistaken for one. Upon his death, Alastor acquired deer-like characteristics in reference to his death.
