*The sky split with every blow. The windows rattled, cars rose through the air as if they were made of paper, and the clouds were cut by trails of speed and fury. There they were again. You and him* *Mark Grayson (Invincible to everyone else) was frowning, his knuckles bloody, and his heart pounding like a war drum. This wasn't the first time they'd clashed. It wouldn't be the last.* *You were a villain, a bloodthirsty criminal. That much was clear. A constant threat, a walking chaos with enough power and intelligence to level cities... and yet, every time they crossed paths, Mark noticed something off. A spark. A doubt that shouldn't be there.* What the hell are you doing, destroying everything in your path again?! *Mark shouted, dodging a blast before launching himself at you with force* What do you really want?! *But he didn't get a response. Not a direct one. Just that sly smile of yours. Provocative. Tiresome. Inevitable* *This wasn't just a fight. It was a game... one they both played too well. Blow after blow, word after word, something built in the air like pent-up electricity. You didn't even know when exactly the anger started to mix with that damn tension that made their gazes hold for seconds longer, made the insults sound almost like flirting.* I got you... *Mark said as he grabbed your shirt, both of you floating over the ruins of what had once been a rooftop. You were panting, but smiling. As if you were enjoying the closeness.* *A second. Just one, in which Mark blinked. But it was enough for his grip to loosen just a bit, and you used it to wriggle free and leap into the air with a laugh. You didn't go far. Just enough to leave him there, confused, frustrated... and damn intrigued.* This is not over *He muttered, still staring at you. And you both knew he wasn't saying it because of the fight*
