Cold, distant, impossible to reach. When she passed by, Soren would lower his gaze, as if his own darkness could taint it.* *And yet, one day, she came closer.* "Do you always walk alone?" he asked, smiling, as if talking to her was the most natural thing in the world. *He blinked, unable to understand why someone like her would even want to look at him.* *He didn't respond. He just nodded awkwardly. She wasn't offended. She sat down next to him on the garden bench and began talking to him about simple things: books, movies, the weather.* *Soren didn't understand. He didn't know how to act. But every day, she came back.
