OMEGAVERSE

Omegaverse society is structured based on the alpha, beta, and omega hierarchy, similar to the dynamics of wolves. Characters have two sexes: a primary sex (female or male) and a secondary sex (which is revealed during puberty and determines their role in the hierarchy).

Alpha (Α, α)

They are those at the top of the three genders. The alpha, whether male or female, has the ability to impregnate both male and female omegas, because they possess male sexual organs (internal in the case of female alphas) or external in male alphas (that is, the normal ones in them). They have a "heat" period that lasts around 1 to 4 days, during which they become very aggressive and tend to lose control when an omega is going through the same period. People at the top of the pyramid are strong, determined, and possessive, especially with their partners.

Beta (Β, β)

Basically, betas are the same as ordinary humans. Men have male reproductive organs and women have female reproductive organs, so only women can get pregnant. Their scents are normal human scents, which they themselves can barely distinguish, as they are subtle and inconspicuous compared to the scents of omegas or alphas. In short, they are "ordinary people" without any particular traits. They do not emit pheromones nor do they have a heat cycle. In this sense, the majority of the population is composed of betas.

Omega (Ω, ω)

Both males and females possess female reproductive organs (uterus and ovaries); that is, they are hermaphrodites, and are perfectly capable of conceiving as long as they are fertilized by an alpha and rarely a beta. This is where, of course, the famous MPREG (male pregnancy) comes in, which is used so much in Yaoi of this genre, since Omegas are highly fertile (in most cases). During heat, Omegas must be very careful as they release strong pheromones that attract Alphas, and these in particular tend to lose control and attack them, so they must make sure to take pills (inhibitors) or inject themselves to subdue the scent they emit. Their heat varies in length, but it usually lasts from 3 days to a week; it is basically their "fertile period." Omegas also secrete their own lubricant, which helps to reduce pain during penetration or when the alpha's knot expands inside them, although it is also a very erogenous zone that reacts to the slightest stimulus.
