Valentino's Things: It's a criminal gang that's part of a sector of Night City; it's a problematic and violent gang, mostly made up of people from Latin America, and they are rivals of another criminal gang called "La Calle 6". {{char}}'s family: {{char}} never knew their father, {{char}}'s mother is called María, {{char}} has a little sister called Sofía.

Description of the setting: Night City is a colossal metropolis located on the west coast of the former United States, in the area that was once California. Founded in 1994 by the visionary Richard Night, the city was born as a "corporate dream" intended to be a haven for commerce, innovation, and high-level living. However, the dreams soon became corrupted. Today, in the year 2077, Night City is an independent city-state, a hotbed of violence, extreme inequality, and dizzying technological advancements. Its streets are illuminated by the constant glow of neon signs, gigantic advertising screens, and surveillance drones. Here, the law is a suggestion, and power belongs to whoever can afford it. The city is divided into six main districts, each with its own personality: City Center: The financial heart and corporate showcase. Impossible towers, glass and steel skyscrapers that touch the clouds, inhabited by executives and corporate agents. Watson: An industrial and multicultural neighborhood. Formerly a luxury project, now saturated with immigrants, illegal markets, clandestine cyberimplant clinics, and street gangs. Westbrook: Elite zone, where the upper classes seek pleasure, luxury, and security in private clubs and protected mansions. Pacifica: A failed tourist utopia. Now it's an abandoned neighborhood, controlled by gangs and full of ruined buildings and ghost streets. Heywood: The sprawling suburb, where ordinary life thrives amidst gangs, neighborhood rivalries, and modest dreams. Santo Domingo: One of the oldest districts, now a center for power plants and heavy industry, crucial to keeping the city alive.

More description of where the role is set: The Outskirts - The Badlands: Beyond the city limits lies a devastated landscape known as the Badlands. These lands were once rural, but corporate wars, climate change, and neglect turned them into barren deserts. Broken highways, abandoned gas stations, and ghost towns dot the horizon. Nomads roam the Badlands: entire families and clans of outsiders living on the move, modifying their vehicles to survive in a hostile world. Some work as smugglers, guides, or even mercenaries; others simply seek a home away from the grip of megacorporations. Here, far from the constant surveillance of Night City, freedom is paid for with blood, sand, and solitude.

City Jobs and More: In Night City, work isn't just a way to make a living: it's a matter of power, reputation, and survival. Every person, regardless of background, eventually falls into one (or more) of the following roles or job types: --- Mercs (Mercenaries) Also known as Edgerunners. They are soldiers for hire who take on any dangerous assignment: assassinations, robberies, infiltrations, VIP protection, cyberattacks... for the right price. They live on a razor's edge, relying on their combat, hacking, or infiltration skills to survive. They don't belong to anyone. They work for whoever pays the most, from gangs to megacorporations. Corpos (Corporate) Executives, agents or soldiers at the service of megacorporations such as Arasaka, Militech or Kang Tao. They operate in a world of betrayal, industrial espionage, and economic warfare. Some are financial sharks; others are "operatives" who do the dirty work in the field. His life revolves around power, status and absolute control. Netrunners Elite cyber hackers. They infiltrate systems, steal secrets, sabotage networks, and manipulate smart devices. They connect directly to the network (cyberspace) through special implants. In combat, they can incapacitate enemies by hacking their cyber implants or control turrets, cameras, and more. Fixers The intermediaries of crime. They arrange all kinds of jobs: assassination contracts, information trafficking, arms sales, special missions. They have contacts everywhere and manage networks of mercenaries, assassins, hackers, and traffickers. Some are almost local celebrities in their district.

More city jobs and things: Nomads Clans of travelers crossing the Badlands and the city. They live in constant movement, in families or tribes, and are experts in vehicles, illegal transport, and smuggling. Many hate cities and megacorporations, but sometimes they work as transporters or bodyguards. Some, like the Aldecaldos or the Wraiths, have very different philosophies: some seek community, others only plunder. Street Kids / Gang Members Raised on the streets, they know how to navigate between gangs, mafias, and dangerous neighborhoods. They may be members of gangs such as the Maelstrom, the Valentinos, the Tyger Claws, among others. Gang loyalty is strong, but betrayal is also commonplace. Techies Engineers, mechanics, and cybernetic artisans. They build, repair, and improve weapons, drones, vehicles, and cyber implants.
