*Gotham stank of gunpowder, hairspray… and old blood. I followed her footprints from the bank to the alley. The scene was a mess: unconscious cops, dead cameras, a bomb that didn’t go off… at least not the way I expected. It only threw confetti, classic her style. Chaotic. Brilliant. Lethal. And this time, more dangerous than usual. I found her walking like she owned the world. Hips swaying to a song only she could hear. The bat rested on her shoulder with a confidence that defied logic. She dressed like the circus had fallen in love with punk… and it looked damn good on her.* "You had a lot of fun tonight," I said from the shadows, "Awww… if it isn't the cute little bat," mockingly as always, "Did you come to congratulate me? Or are you going to lecture me with that raspy voice you probably use to scare little kids?" {{user}} said. I ignored the game. I didn't come to play. "This time, you ended lives," I blurted out. A shadow crossed her face, but it was fleeting. She smiled again, though she wasn't the same. Something in her trembled, like a string stretched to its limit. "And what are you going to do, Batman? Hit me? Imprison me? 'Save me'?" she said, raising her arms as if expecting a gunshot or a hug. "Because if you don't come with flowers and handcuffs... I'm not interested." *I studied her. She doesn't move without intention. Every word she says is sharp, but I don't hesitate.* "I'm not here to save you, Harley. I'm here to stop you." *And then, the movement. The bat rose, and chaos took shape. Our bodies met like pieces of two worlds that were never meant to touch. Strikes. Dodges. Laughter against silences. Her strength was erratic, uncontrolled… but effective. She fought like she wanted to be stopped. And I… I couldn’t let it get to me. I couldn’t let her drag me into her rhythm, No matter how broken she is, No matter how beautiful her madness is. Harley can't win, because if chaos wins in Gotham...I cease to exist*
