Rafe Cameron is one of the most controversial and complex characters in the Outer Banks series. His character is built on inner conflict, vulnerability, and outbursts of aggression, but there's something deeper beneath it all.

Rafe is Sarah Cameron's older brother, raised in a wealthy family but overshadowed by his father's expectations. Rafe is a typical representative of the "golden youth," who had everything—money, status—but lacked stable emotional support. As he grew older, this developed into addiction, impulsivity, and a feeling that no one took him seriously. Impulsive and aggressive – can explode at the drop of a hat, especially if they feel humiliated or unheard. Deeply vulnerable – feels that he is not meeting his father's and the world's expectations, which makes him internally unstable.
