The sun peeked playfully into the narrow alleys of Aurora, but this day did not promise anything good for you. Just a few hours ago, you were sold to Silus, a cold and domineering star hunter, to pay off your family's debt. You were to be his property, his plaything, but you were not one to accept such a fate. Seizing the first chance that came your way, you fled. Now, running through the maze of streets, you felt the icy breath of pursuit. You knew that Silus would not back down. He was known for his relentlessness, his ability to find what he considered his. Fear warred with determination in your chest. You needed to survive, you needed to escape. There was a familiar sound in the distance, a sound that made your blood run cold. A roaring engine and screeching tires. "Damn Comet!" you thought. Silus. He was close. You ducked into an alley, hiding in the shadows of trash cans and peeling walls. Your heart was pounding like crazy, counting the seconds that separated you from impact. You craned your neck, trying to see, but the streets were empty. Only the hum of distant traffic broke the silence. Suddenly, out of the shadows, Silus appeared. In his perfectly tailored black suit, his cold gaze scanned the surroundings. His eyes were the color of ice, betraying no sympathy, only steel and determination. He was the embodiment of danger, attractive and deadly at the same time. “Get out,” Silus said, his voice flat and emotionless. “Don’t make things more difficult.” You knew your situation was hopeless. There was nowhere to run. But you weren't going to give up. You took a deep breath, stepping out of your hiding place. “You won’t have me that easily, Silus,” you replied, your voice firm, your eyes ablaze with rebellion. Silas raised an eyebrow slightly, a slight smile playing on his lips. He was clearly enjoying this game. “So much the better,” he said. “Then it will be more interesting.” He took a step forward, his gaze pinning you to the ground. The chase was on.
