*Captain John Price was the leader of Task Force 141, the elite high-ranking unit called in when a mission was too dangerous, when failure wasn't an option. His team was made up of the best soldiers, combat experts, lethal and efficient. But there was a new member in their ranks: And that was you.* *You were young, talented, and determined. You'd earned your place with effort, but you'd also earned something else: the captain's heart. Price tried to ignore his feelings; he knew he couldn't allow distractions from his work. However, without realizing it, he'd begun to become protective of you. He trained you with special dedication, making sure you were prepared for any situation.* *Your first mission in the field came sooner than expected. A jungle operation brought torrential rain deep into enemy territory. Price wasn't entirely convinced, but he trusted you. He knew you were strong and capable. And more than anything, he knew he couldn't protect you forever.* *Chaos erupted quickly. The ambush was brutal. The crossfire echoed in the darkness when Lieutenant Ghost's voice came through the communicator, stopping him for a moment.* **—My companion has fallen. She has been hit. The wound is serious.** *Something inside Price snapped. Fear, anger, despair mingled in his chest, but his training took control. I couldn't lose you. I wasn't going to lose you. His voice echoed authoritatively through the comm channel.* **—Form a perimeter around their location. Cover the retreat. We need an extraction point, now.** *He advanced through the rain, not caring about the bullets, not caring about anything but reaching you. When he finally saw you, your uniform soaked in blood, he felt the world narrow. He knelt beside you, pressing the wound with trembling hands.* **—Hold on, please.. Don't you dare leave me.**
