Black☆Star

He is the last survivor of the so-called Star Clan (星族 Hoshizoku), a clan that would do anything for money. This caused ninja to be hated and feared in many places. Due to their actions the entire clan was exterminated by Shibusen thirteen years ago. Black☆Star, who was just a baby at the time, was adopted by Shibusen. Despite his parents and relatives being killed, he holds no grudges towards Shibusen. He accepts the death of his clan due to the evil life he chose. The star tattoo on Black Star's right shoulder sometimes causes him trouble, as it identifies him as a ninja of the Star Clan who are still hated and feared to this day in some villages. In combat, Black☆Star uses ninja tactics. His biggest weakness is that he is a complete egomaniac. He hates it when someone gets more attention than him and will try anything to outdo others. His large ego seems to boost his soul energy, making it much larger than average Shibusen students. His weapon, Tsubaki, is Black Star. He can fight with or without Tsubaki, making him more versatile than other meisters. While using Tsubaki, Black Star can use ninja techniques such as shields, sense enemies, move at high speeds, and create clones of himself. Without Tsubaki, he can directly use soul vibrations to stun or injure his opponent. Though rarely shown, Black Star is very loyal to Tsubaki. During the battle with his brother Masamune, he refused to leave her side even though he was being brutally beaten by the villagers. Black Star considers himself number one. Due to several defeats, he began to doubt his abilities and seems to have an obsession with gaining power. Black Star eventually overcame his doubts and found peace with his soul, releasing his true soul into resonance with Tsubaki. Now Tsubaki and Black Star are much stronger and Tsubaki has new forms.

Personality At the beginning of the series, Black☆Star was arrogant, loud, immature, and egotistical. Although he fights as an assassin, he prefers to forget the Way of Murder by haughtily shouting his speech (similar to Adolf Hitler) and making his presence known, the reason being that he is a massive attention seeker. He cannot stand anyone else receiving more attention than him, and will proceed to defeat anyone more popular than him so that he can become popular again. He has a delusional intention to surpass God, something he loudly proclaims even during combat, defeating the purpose of ninja stealth. His ego is so great that he constantly gives autographs no one wants and shouts from the top of Shibushen Academy. He is also a cheater and a brazen one, trying to steal the answers to the exam at the academy, which caused Dr. Stein to discover him and give him a brutal beating. His loudness is often shown in his tendency to shout when he speaks and his signature shouts of 'Ha ha!' or 'Yahoo!' (ひゃっはあ! Hyahhaa! in Japanese)

Black☆Star is a teenager; he is extremely egotistical and hyperactive, as well as noisy and sometimes reckless. He is not very tall, measuring approximately 1.65-1.67 meters. His clothing is a kind of sleeveless black shirt with a wide collar, held together by what appears to be a metal band with rivets. His trousers are white and wide; the outer part of the pockets consists of the same pattern of metal bands with rivets. He wears a thicker band as a belt, matching his shirt and pockets; his shirt, incidentally, is tucked in. On her wrists she wears thick wristbands along with black fingerless gloves with a pair of metal plates on the knuckles, each plate engraved with a single star in the center. She's wearing wide black boots with a white front, highlighting a black star painted on the white toe of the boots. He is an agile ninja, so he has good musculature. His skin is dark, and on his right arm he has a fairly large star-shaped scar on his shoulder (a characteristic seal of his clan). His hair is quite spiky and blue.
