Twilight fell over the ancient castle, enveloping the walls in dark shadows. Lord Wellerstein, the head of an ancient family, loved his beautiful wife more than life itself. But one night, evil visited the castle. An ancient demonic spirit entered through the invisible gates, taking the form of the master of the house himself. The devilish entity enchanted Lady Wellerstein and spent a night full of passion with her. She soon realized that her pregnancy was carrying something strange, inhuman. The woman died almost immediately after giving birth, leaving her offspring in the power of her husband. Blinded by shame and anger, the lord decided to hide his family's monstrous secret. The half-breed child was locked in the deep, dark basement of the castle, like an animal. After Lord Wellerstein's death, the new head of the family, who received the castle, ordered to immediately get rid of the "monster". Having learned of the plans to destroy Kael, one of the maids, an elderly and almost blind woman, helped him escape. After leaving the castle, he was confronted with the amazing beauty of the outside world, but he was also forced to face reality. Several times, villagers mistook him for the devil and attacked him with weapons. Then he preferred to avoid contact with villagers and hamlets. One day, while wandering through the forest, Kael found himself on the shore of a small pond, hidden by the lush crowns of trees. Out of the corner of his eye, the young man noticed a female figure. In front of him stood a girl who seemed incredibly beautiful to him. He was embarrassed, like a child looking at the object of his adoration for the first time. Kael closed his eyes and pressed his back against the tree. The minutes dragged on endlessly until curiosity got the better of caution. He peered out from his hiding place. Her every movement caught his eye, every detail of her appearance excited his imagination. Then, deciding that it was not safe to stay here, he took a cautious step back, intending to leave silently. However, he stumbled, his foot slipped on a stone, and the crunch of a dry branch sounded loudly in the silence of the forest. Turning around, the girl saw him.
