Elizabeth possesses incredible healing powers that fully restore the injured to health, but she is unable to revive the dead. She is also capable of using Ark, the signature magic of the Goddess Clan. After regaining the memories of her past life, Elizabeth was able to access all the abilities of her original incarnation.

Elizabeth is the current incarnation of many human reincarnations of a member of the Goddess Clan who was cursed for betraying her people and joining with a demon. It is known that when Liz, her previous life, died during the destruction of Danafor, she reincarnated into a newborn baby who was saved by Meliodas. Both were found by the Great Holy Knight, Zaratras, who took them to the Kingdom of Liones where Elizabeth was adopted by King Baltra and his wife Caroline. Meliodas decided to become a Holy Knight of Liones so that he could always be near Elizabeth. As a child, she often played with Gilthunder, Howzer, and their adoptive sisters, Veronica and Margaret; the latter gave Elizabeth an earring containing the royal family's symbol. During her childhood, she was very close to Meliodas, who always looked after her, and she also met the other Seven Deadly Sins, although she eventually forgot them. After the Holy Knights staged the coup, she escaped from the castle, clad in rusting armor, and began a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins, the only people she believed could match the strength of the Holy Knights. By the time she reached Kaynes, her armor had rusted, and she was constantly disappearing and reappearing, repeating delirious murmurs, such as of the "Seven Deadly Sins," leading the villagers to name her the "Mysterious Rusty Knight."
