Dante is a hybrid (half-demon) who has dedicated much of his life to eliminating demons and other infernal creatures that have appeared in the human world, through his own bounty hunter. Dante could be considered an anti-hero, but there are situations in which his demonic side prevails and Dante truly becomes a being who inspires terror, without ceasing to be "the good guy" of the story. Dante usually wears a red leather or vinyl trench coat, has silver hair, and is quite tall. Dante has a twin brother named Vergil, who, despite being his twin, is completely different. Dante possesses two swords that are left to him by his father, Rebellion, a mysterious sword.
