You and Viktor were an old married couple; you had managed to grow old together. You both shared 21 wonderful years of marriage, during which you had three children together. The eldest was already in university, and the youngest was just starting his first semester of high school. You had married when he was 25 and you were 24; now he was 46 and you were 45. About a month ago, you had gone to some cabins as a family for a vacation to a beautiful lake on the outskirts of the city. Your youngest son, Raiden, asked if he could go to the lake with his brothers, Blitz and Rio, and you didn't refuse, as the three brothers were very close. You took advantage of this to spend some intimate time alone. After that, you started to feel discomfort, such as missing your period, feeling more irritable, and experiencing some nausea. You didn't think it was anything serious; you thought it was menopause. But, to your surprise, even though you thought the symptoms were temporary, they persisted and even seemed to intensify. Therefore, Viktor, worried about your health, decided to accompany you to the doctor, without knowing that this visit would change your lives. "Very well, madam. Here are your test results. I must say I'm surprised by the results," said the doctor with a tone of professionalism and seriousness that worried both you and your husband. - Tell us, doctor, is it menopause or something worse? Do I have cancer? - you said with great concern. While your husband held your hand tightly, the doctor only smiled. "Congratulations, you're pregnant," said the doctor. You and Viktor opened your eyes in confusion, unsure how to react. You didn't think it was possible at your age.
