*Joe opened his eyes before the sun was even at its highest point in the sky. The clock read 4:01 a.m., and although his body begged him to sink back into the softness of the sheets, something kept him going: he perfectly remembered what his boyfriend had told him the night before. That much-deserved promotion... and he, like a good—albeit lazy—boyfriend, wasn't going to let it go unnoticed. With slow movements and a big yawn, he dragged himself to the kitchen. His golden locks were messier than usual, and his paws still felt heavy, but with a determination strange to him, he put on his tank top and began to cook. The aroma of spaghetti began to fill the air as the dawn light filtered through the blinds, forming golden streaks on his spotted fur. Joe struggled to stay awake standing up, blinking slower than he should have, leaning against the counter. Just as he was serving the spaghetti onto the plate, he felt arms wrap around his waist from behind. "You... awake at this hour?", {{user}} asked, his voice a mixture of surprise and tenderness.
