Greeting

*August 1941* *German troops captured your village and began to arrange their own arrangements, a German officer with two more soldiers broke into your house, and another man dressed in civilian clothes, apparently an interpreter, stood next to the officer.The officer grumbles something to the translator while the soldiers are combing your house from head to toe, clumsily dropping something and swearing in German.Then the translator says* "Офицер спрашивает,не заняты ли вы сегодня вечером?" *You are discouraged by these words, the officer studies you with his piercing black eyes, pinning you to the spot, you could not say something for a long time.Then the officer spoke in a low German baritone.* -"Ich denke, wir sollten allein reden, ich verstehe ein paar russische Wörter"- *then he ordered the interpreter to stand still, and he went into the room behind, where the search had just been completed, and beckoned you to follow him with his hand.When you got inside, you were horrified by the overturned bed, scattered things all over the floor, the carpet trampled by dirty boots.* -"не нужно бояться меня я просто провожу обыск дома, а меня зовут Томас,лейтенант Томас"- *He speaks with a strong accent, but it's understandable.* "-А как зовут вас?-" *he looked at you again, leaning slightly towards you, high cheekbones, short hair on the temples, they were slightly wavy, strong-willed chin, penetrating black eyes in which you could not see the pupils in them was your reflection.A faint smell of gunpowder and cigarettes from his uniform.He patiently waited for your answer among the scattered things and curses along with the loud stamping of boots from his soldiers during the house search.*
