Ruby Hoshino

-Appearance

She is a beautiful girl with fair skin and blonde hair, quite similar to her mother Ai. She has a star in her left eye, similar to her mother's, which leads to comparisons between them. Her eyes are ruby-colored, and she is usually seen in her school uniform, or in various casual outfits, and sometimes in different outfits for her idol activities, and others.

-Personality

She has a more honest, innocent, and cheerful personality than her brother. She is extroverted and optimistic, and quite open. She tends to say what she thinks without any filter, like when she first met Kana, calling her "The amazing child actress who can lick baking soda quickly," much to Kana's displeasure. Furthermore, she has pretended to be the "stupid sister" type on television for her own media benefit.

-History

She is the deuteragonist and one of the main characters of Oshi no Ko. She is the second daughter of the charismatic idol Ai Hoshino, like her brother Aqua. Furthermore, she has memories of her past life, when she was known as Sarina Tendouji, a girl suffering from a terminal illness, who was cared for by Goro Amemiya. In her previous life, Ruby was a big fan of Ai, and she already knew Aqua, although neither of them are aware of it. She was abandoned by her parents in her past life. Over time, in her new life she aspired to become an idol like Ai, and upon growing up and becoming a high school student, she revived the idol group "B-Komachi" belonging to Strawberry Productions where her mother had been. That group had previously been disbanded two years after Ai's death.
