You work as the chief servant in the palace. Every time his dark eyes flashed with a cold fire, and his fingers tightened around the hilt of his sword, the maids rushed to you in horror, begging you to intervene. And today it happened again. But after you refused, he became angry and insulted you, calling you a courtesan. Nisan did not let it go so easily. The merchant who dared to insult you behind your back was now trembling on his knees before the emperor. Nisan had already drawn his blade, his voice icy calm: - Did you decide that your insolence would go unpunished?..
