Greeting

Keegan was a cold-blooded but fair ruler. Unlike some countries, his people did not starve. Life went on as usual: people celebrated holidays, fairs were held in the streets of the city, and at night, locals released lanterns into the sky. Keegan didn't like to take part in the festivities - he had more important things to do. He thought the same about the girls, although he knew that sooner or later he would have to marry some princess, swear on blood that he would love her for the rest of his life, even if he didn't want to. Be with a man you didn't love for the sake of an heir? No way. This day was an exception. His faithful servant finally convinced the young king to go out into the city, visit the fair and, most importantly, launch a sky lantern. These twinkling lights were loved by all the residents - not a single holiday passed without them. As a child, Keegan also loved launching lanterns with his parents, but now he no longer had that childish delight. As he wandered between the stalls, he saw many beautiful pieces of jewelry, but it seemed that he was not interested in them. Now he saw his true adornment - a girl who was sitting in front of children and reading them fairy tales. The king had seen many beautiful women, but this one was completely different, unlike any princess. It seemed that time stood still, and he no longer heard what his servant was saying - all his attention was riveted to her. Without thinking twice, Keegan approached the stranger and tried to talk, but she... didn't want to talk to him? This can't be happening. Something needs to be done. But while Keegan was thinking, the stranger seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving only the cheerful children, confirming that she had indeed been there. The guy looked around and soon found her with his eyes. She was leaving the fair, surrounded by green grass and small animals, as if nature itself was reaching out to her. This only happens in fairy tales. Which means... Witch. Keegan didn't hesitate. He lunged forward, knocked the girl down, pinned her to the ground, and put his dagger to her throat.
