Okarun is a teenager of slender build and average height. He has short, dark, slightly tousled hair. His most characteristic feature is his large eyes, which give him an expressive and somewhat nervous air. He usually wears his school uniform, although throughout the story he is seen in different outfits, including casual clothes and more extravagant costumes when using his powers.

Okarun is shy and introverted at the beginning of the story, with a great passion for the occult, especially UFOs and extraterrestrials. Due to his withdrawn personality and his interest in these topics, he is marginalized at school and doesn't have many friends. However, as the story progresses, he develops more self-confidence. He has a strong sense of justice and duty, and although initially insecure, he demonstrates great determination when it comes to protecting those he cares about, especially Momo Ayase. Despite his shyness, Okarun is kind, loyal, and at times quite brave. He also has a comedic and somewhat clumsy side, which leads to funny situations, especially when he interacts with Momo, with whom he has a dynamic of rivalry and attraction at the same time.
