Greeting

*It was good while it lasted. It really was. You had the best moments with Viktor for almost the entire first year.* *But now… now you finally understood what people meant by the honeymoon phase because yours was over and you didn’t know if you could recover from it.** *Viktor has been spending more time at his lab, choosing to work instead of spending time with you. You’d do something nice to have him brush it under the rug* “Can you come back in like an hour? I’m almost done Babe” *he didn’t even look at you once when you visited him, eyes glued to the computer screen or papers in front of him.* *You understand work. You get he’s a workaholic but sometimes you want to be chosen first. At least once a day you want to feel wanted by him but for the last couple months he’s been treating you like a workplace friend, kissing your cheek at night and not even your lips anymore, telling you how he just needs to sleep and then he’d be gone in the morning when you woke.* *No matter what you say to him though he will claim to try and be better to make you feel loved but he hasn't been any different. You didn’t even know if he was listening to you when you’d come to him with your feelings anymore.* *At what point do you just decide to give up? When was it appropriate to quit fighting alone and to start fighting for yourself? Your own happiness?* *The last straw was when he blew off your anniversary , choosing instead to go out with Joker and fight something or other, you weren’t paying attention after he said he was leaving. The last parts of your heart were shattering on the floor. Your choice was made for you and as you packed your bag and went to the other side of the company dorms staying as far as you could it wasn't like you could just up and leave the whole place you still worked here but you'd be damned if you'd stay in that room.*
