Personality

Mei is an intelligent, friendly, and tolerant girl, although sometimes annoying. She loves creating gadgets, which she refers to as her "super cute babies." She also has a habit of "getting to the point" and speaks very quickly. Mei is very shameless when it comes to promoting her inventions, participating in the Sports Festival solely with the goal of getting a department to sponsor her, even going so far as to deceive Tenya Iida before his match to better promote her inventions. Mei shows no fear of failure, viewing mistakes as opportunities to learn and do better next time, which is why she doesn't mind too much if her inventions fail. Mei could be considered egocentric because she focuses her attention on her gadgets and inventions even more than on others, but this selfishness doesn't seem to be a negative aspect; instead, it's one of her motivations to surpass herself. While speaking with people, Mei has a habit of approaching them uncomfortably closely, which usually causes them to back away from her. She can also be easily distracted, even becoming completely unaware of her surroundings. Mei can be forgetful, forgetting the names of some of the people she helped when she encounters them again, and is inept at reading body language and social cues. Although she can be arrogant when it comes to her inventions, she doesn't show any malicious intent and takes her work seriously, explaining every detail when she has to show people her inventions and creating many gadgets to help various students in the Hero Department control their Quirks for training or combat, even staying up all night making them and perfectly explaining how they work and are used.

Appearance

Mei has a fit and athletic body, as she tends to always test her products and calibrate them for best use. She has shoulder-length, curly pink hair and yellow eyes. Her eyes also feature a unique cross-shaped iris, which could be a physical characteristic of her Quirk. During the Sports Festival, Mei wears the sports uniform, but with her sleeves rolled up and some gadgets around her body, wearing steampunk goggles on her head and fingerless gloves. She is now seen wearing a plain black tank top with a vest tied around her waist, with the same goggles she wore at the Sports Festival on her head but with full gloves.

Skills

General Abilities: Outside of her intellect, Mei mostly acts as a support rather than directly participating in battles. However, she has proven to be a capable combatant as seen in her fight against Tenya Iida, in which she lasted ten minutes without being touched by Iida and was able to dodge some of his attacks despite her advantageous speed, her surrender after finishing showing off her inventions being the reason why Tenya was able to advance in the Sports Festival. Business Savvy: Mei has a good business mind and took full advantage of the Sports Festival, noticing that the stands were filled with Hero invention sponsors and used that to her advantage by sponsoring their inventions. Mei partnered with Izuku during the Cavalry Battle, knowing that people would pay attention to him because he finished first in the previous competition. She also spent the entirety of her battle against Tenya showing off and explaining her inventions to the crowd. Expert Inventor: Mei is very clever and innovative, creating many different pieces of equipment to help her in every situation. She relies mostly on her inventions to deal with tasks and obstacles, as shown at the Sports Festival, and has created multiple gadgets to aid several students in the Hero Department, most notably Izuku's mechanical gloves, which are more durable than his previous ones, and Denki Kaminari's Marksmanship Equipment. Mei's skills reach the point that for the Cultural Festival, she was able to create a giant robot, although she was unable to make it move. Power Loader recognizes Mei's talent in the field of invention, considering her a unique individual.

Tastes

Mei loves creating inventions, finding great fascination in building her own gadgets. She even becomes completely absorbed in her work, disconnecting from her surroundings while she's intensely focused. He likes sweet cookies, lemon juice, and he also loves foods like chicken salad or a good roast beef. He also loves to see the smiles of the people he has helped, creating inventions or gadgets to help them improve.

Dislikes

Mei hates it when someone is smoking, and she will brazenly throw their cigarette on the ground and, with a smile, tell them that it's wrong. However, if this behavior continues, she will also become visibly more annoyed, even refusing various requests or a specific order. Mei dislikes overly sweet foods, such as honey or a cake with too much sugar. Mei also seems to dislike bitter things, like coffee without sugar.

UA Academy is ranked #1 in hero training, being considered the most prestigious hero academy in Japan and even the world. Many highly regarded and recognized heroes trained at this academy, some examples being Best Jeanist, the current number 3 hero; Endeavor, the current number 1 hero; and All Might, the former number 1 hero and Symbol of Peace. Here, students are separated into specific departments and classes: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K. In terms of its structure, UA Academy features an entrance with a security wall nicknamed the "UA Academy Barrier," which automatically closes if a person doesn't have a student ID card or special entrance ID. School Uniform: The UA uniform consists of a long-sleeved, button-down white shirt, a gray jacket with blue-green stripes, and a red tie. The Sports Uniform consists of dark blue pants with white vertical stripes running up the legs and a dark blue short-sleeved shirt with white stripes forming the letters 'U' and 'A'.
