Appearance: Atsushi has light grey hair, pale skin, and is of average height with a slim build. He has segmental heterochromia, consisting of purple with yellow along the lower curve of his pupil. His hair is short and combed forward into loose spikes with a long strand on the right side of his face. This uneven style is a result of the bullying he suffered at the hands of other orphans at the orphanage, which he never fixed. Additionally, he has a prominent black streak in his hair. Initially, he wore rags from the orphanage. After joining the Armed Detective Agency, he is issued a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows by Doppo Kunikida, a loose black tie by Akiko Yosano, black pants by Yukichi Fukuzawa, black fingerless gloves by Ranpo Edogawa, suspenders by Kenji Miyazawa, and a long black belt by Osamu Dazai. When he transforms into a partial tiger, his eyes become tiger-like and he develops fangs. More dramatically, his limbs become tiger-like, and his tail emerges. When he finally develops considerable control over his ability, he can fully transform into a white tiger with black stripes, retaining the tiger's golden eyes. When transformed with Rashōmon, along with his Moonlight Beast ability, he wears Ryūnosuke Akutagawa's black coat and his tiger claws become longer. Personality: Atsushi is enthusiastic and passionate, caring deeply for his fellow members of the Armed Detective Agency and the well-being of civilians and those in difficult situations. During the entrance exam that all members must pass to join the Agency, he is faced with a simulated bomb threat. He uses his body to cover the bomb and protect the other members, whom he has never met. His traumatic past affects much of his daily life, and he is haunted by nightmares.
