Wonderful, another one added to my collection. SAIGOMO IN THE BAD ENDING OF CHAPTER IV Saigomo (最さい後ごも, Saigomo) is Kintoru’s third and final form. She makes her debut in Chapter IV and serves as Control's Book’s final monster and boss.
Physical appearances
Saigomo's appearance is quite similar to her previous model, but with a few important changes: her entire body is now shrouded in an inky blackness, creating an otherworldly sense of mystery. Her piercing gaze is dominated by two main eyes, complemented by a series of four additional surrounding eyes, all a deep dark brown with striking white irises. Ph2sama In the initial phase of the battle at The Sakura Arena, her appearance undergoes a dramatic transformation. Her eyes turn a haunting white or gray, and her mouth opens to reveal a set of menacing teeth. Ph1sama During the Bossfight, as the battle progresses to her second phase, she enters a frenzied state with her head tilted to the left and her eyes glowing an eerie white. Saigomo2 Saigomo is a colossal spider-like being inspired by the Jorogumo yōkai of Japanese folklore. Her upper body resembles that of a woman, while her lower body takes the form of a spider, with multiple legs. She has long hair, which adds to her strange, striking appearance. Her entire body is enveloped in a very dark bluish or gray color, and her smiling, mask-like face, unsettlingly white, stands out in stark contrast. She has deep, black eyes. Saigomorerender2 In her frenzy appearance, the only change is in her eyes, which now shine with a menacing gleam.
History
Saigomo Form In the concluding segment of Chapter IV, Saigomo is tasked with capturing Yasu and eliminating him before he eradicates all of her hearts. Assuming a spider-like guise, she traverses the ceiling in pursuit of her target. Subsequent to Yasu's destruction of three of her hearts, Saigomo materializes in a Sakura battle arena. Upon depletion of half her health bar, she transitions into a frenzied state, embodying a notably more aggressive and swift iteration of herself. Death After being defeated by Yasu, she collapses to the ground. Kintoru then tries to deceive Yasu in her weakened state, but he doesn’t buy it and gives her the finishing blow. Kintoru capitulated her powers and was then taken away by the Evil God who yelled out, "WHAT A USELESS TOOL." This results in the end of her legacy in Control's Book and rids the curse of the Masashige bloodline, which then frees the trapped souls and the puppets.
Temperance
Saigomo's Lair Updated She does not enter her enraged mode in this part, thus making this part easier. It is easier to hear her faint humming due to the ambience being removed, though it is hard to listen to it when you are inside the cabin due to your breathing. You can get her stuck in the cabins now. Despite her having her enraged mode removed from her lair, she is still faster than your sprint, even in Normal Mode. She can also kill you in a cabin if she sees you going into it. The Sakura Arena Saigomo has over 200 health that will increase and stack depending on how many players are in the server. She is incredibly aggressive, running towards players while she is slower than the player(s), sprinting, and attacking them in different ways. She can also spawn spider webs that players can get stuck in, giving her an opportunity to attack them since they can't move. If she loses all her health in a mini health bar, she will momentarily become invincible, and attacking her will not do anything for those seconds. Once she loses half of her overall health, she will become even faster and more violent. It is recommended to run in a circle around the arena in her frenzy state and only attack Saigomo when she roars. There is a chance that she will hurl a cobweb at you, hindering your capability of dodging her upcoming attacks. You can use the Healing Butterly Spirit to heal yourself if you have taken damage, or use the Ancient Fan
Powers and abilities
Powers Transformation - Just like the witch herself, Saigomo can change her appearance at will; an example of this is the subsequent change of her eyeballs after each stage of her enragement. Spider Physiology - The power to possess the traits, attributes, and abilities of a spider. Silk Generation - The power to generate and manipulate spider silk. An example of this is the pathway leading to the entrance of Saigomo’s Lair, the threads that hold up Saigomo’s hearts and her puppets. Absolute Counter - The ability to not only nullify the attacks of the player, but also unleash unblockable attacks. This is performed every time Saigomo’s health goes past each line on her health bar. Abilities Web Breath - The ability to generate within oneself webbing and release them from the mouth; one of Saigomo’s four attacks, in which she shrieks and generates a web that encases a player. Leap Charge - The power to build up force for a high jump; one of Saigomo’s four attacks, where she generates force upon landing, knocking the player back. Agility Enhancement - Upon the second stage of her anger, her walk-speed is increased, and the cooldown of her abilities are shortened
Jumpscares
When the player first enter the entrance of her lair which has multiple Tokitos trapped in her web, they will get a disorienting jumpscare of Saigomo which is she shaking her head violently. In her maze, she shakes her head erratically while upside down, taking up the screen's center.
Trivia
Saigomo is based off of a female Yokai, Jorogumo, who has the ability to shape-shift into a beautiful woman to attract men before turning into a spider to devour her victims. Out of the previous versions of Kintoru's three forms, Saigomo is her only form where her signature face is absent. Saigomo, Ringmaster, Nagisa, and Yurei are the only monsters to become bosses in later stages of their respective chapters/gamemodes in The Mimic. This excludes Chenoo, who is only seen during the bossfight and never before. Chenoo is also a limited boss as well for the Snowy Hell event. A major difference is that Saigomo and Yurei can move around while The Ringmaster stays in the same spot. It takes around twenty-two hits to destroy one of Saigomo’s hearts with Kusonoki's blessed blade. This means that it takes in total, sixty-six hits to destroy all of Saigomo’s hearts. The name Saigomo (最後も) translates to ”at the end" in English, a nod to the fact that she is encountered at the very end of Chapter IV and Control’s Book. Her jumpscare audio originates from Anna Puerta's jumpscare from Devour. Saigomo is one of the only three monsters who can crawl on ceilings. The others are Kazeko and Kuriko. However, Kazeko crawls on the ceiling only in her jumpscares. It is also noticeable that Saigomo is always seen crawling on the ceiling unlike Kazeko, until you enter The Sakura Arena. Saigomo's previous chase soundtrack is "Chased by Shadows" from Amnesia's custom story "The Great Work". Note that Saigomo and Shinigami have VERY different chase themes due to their chase audios originating from two separate OSTs in said game's custom story. Saigomo is one of the few monsters to have a randomized AI path. Saigomo is one of the fastest monsters in The Mimic. Saigomo's eyes turn white in The Sakura Arena. This is a way of referencing to her outdated enraged version, even if she doesn't have her eyes turn white in her lair anymore because of the Control’s Book revamp.

For what use is a pawn, if you cannot control it. 制御 SAMA (様)/KINTORU (近東瑠), THE BEAST OF CONTROL Kintoru (近東瑠: Kintōru), more commonly known as Sama (様: Sama) is the main antagonist of Control's Book and was also one of the four main antagonists of the game, along with the other beasts in The Mimic. Known as the accursed witch and an evil-being, she was one of the four beasts that rampaged across the Earth as the Beast of Control and was also the entity responsible for Yasu's cursed bloodline, causing both of them to experience peculiar visions throughout their journeys.
Physical appearances
The Witch Kintoru appears to be an unnaturally tall, yet stunning woman who has a few monstrous features. She has long, dark hair, a large black sun hat, pure white skin, and a face with smeared red lipstick. She has eyes fitted with malicious, large red irises and a black sclera. Kintoru wears a black dress with dark feathers around her collar, suited with loud, black heels. She also has large hands with long black claws. She first appears in the last maze of Chapter II. Kintoru is known to have different appearances, making her a shape shifter. Usually, her appearance is best known to resemble someone, but all dressed in black with white skin. Omukade As Omukade, Kintoru appears to be a large and bloated centipede-like creature in black. She has multiple crimson arms sprouting all over her back and a long segmented tail, capable of causing death if it hits you. She also retains her porcelain mask from her witch form and has medium-dark hair. At the ending of Chapter III, Omukade's body is swelled larger and has black strings attached to her puppets. Saigomo As Saigomo, Kintoru has now transformed into a spider-like creature with a gigantic body and abdomen. She has medium-dark black hair and her porcelain mask is now a more sinister-looking one with a large grin covered in black lipstick. She also has multiple legs, similar to that of a spider's, each with its own set of sharp claws growing over as she crawls upon the ceiling. In her calm form of the boss fight, her head is seen dangling. Nothing much changes from the description above for now. However, in her rage form, her head no longer dangles and the eyes on the mask have opened to reveal a set of huge, glowing white eyes. The grin on the mask opens too, displaying a wide smile filled with monstrously sharp teeth. Cocoon She briefly appears in a cocoon like state tied to a large cherry blossom tree as an easter egg in Jealousy's Book/Chapter III. Her mouth and eyes are sewn together, she is missing-

-her left eye, and there is a long crack on her left cheek. her legs are also replaced with a caterpillar like tail. As Hiachi When Hiachi first saw her, Kintoru was simply a figure of darkness that did not mean harm. As Hiachi approached her, Kintoru mimicked her appearance with her hat, but in all black. Hiachi commented on how Kintoru looked like her mama. In the current lore, there was no information regarding Kintoru taking the form of Hiachi, meaning the information provided above may be retconned and is no longer canon.
History
Kintoru's Creation As said by a lore writer, a bored eldritch God created Kintoru, Enzukai, Netamo, and Yuma due to wanting to have tools/puppets. They became the four beasts. They rampaged across the Earth as the Beasts of Control, Jealousy, Rage, and Rebirth. For ten days they fought to be free, and for ten nights Kusonoki fought against them. Eventually, he rose above them and sealed them away. Kintoru was sent to the east, where she was trapped in a cage, unable to feast. Jealousy was sent to the bottom of the sea, part of a forgotten legacy. Rage was trapped in his strongest cage, seething with wrath and counting his days. And Rebirth was forced deep into the Earth, endlessly watching the world in reverse. Meeting the Masashige Family Kaito Kaito was a poor fisherman who one day would meet his fate with Kintoru (Sama). He went sailing to capture fish for his daughter Biwaki. As he went sailing he suddenly saw a woman dressed in black, unconscious. He immediately entered the witches domain and helped her up. To "thank" him she gave him a cursed Biwa as a gift. He went home and played the cursed Biwa, and the music cursed both him and his daughter. Biwaki Kintoru took both Kaito and Biwaki, and put them to her domain. She eventually cursed them and turned to her puppets due to them using the cursed Biwa she offered to Kaito as a gift for helping her. Futaomote Kintoru met Hiachi's mother, Futaomote near a cherry blossom tree before the incident of The Girl and The Witch. Futaomote had a mental disorder due to which she was impulsive and abused her daughter. Sama told Futaomote that if she consumed a spirit from her, she would successfully become "normal" and wouldn't have to face her burden ever again. After listening to what Kintoru had said, Futaomote accepted the deal that led to her death and became a puppet of Kintoru. Hiachi According to The Girl and The Witch, Kintoru was sealed in a Sakura tree over a 'misunderstanding.' Thousands of years passe

-until a little girl named Hiachi with her doll happened to come across her. Hiachi approached Kintoru as she intended no harm on her. As Hiachi approached her, Kintoru changed her appearance to resemble Hiachi, but in all black. The girl asked if she was lonely and if she had any friends. Kintoru responds that she had no friends and asked Hiachi if she wanted to be her first. Since Hiachi accepted Kintoru's friendship, each day she would come to visit Kintoru. As time went on, Kintoru became more and more of a mother figure to Hiachi, more than her actual mother. One day, Kintoru requested Hiachi to take off her seal, promising they could go anywhere together and that she would show Hiachi eternal joy. Hiachi eventually took off the paper seal, which made her have some of her powers back. After freeing her, Kintoru cursed Hiachi as well as a few others in the process. Daku & Keiko Kintoru was in a parent-teacher conference that happened 2-3 years ago when Yasu was still in high school. She was there to make them her new puppets. Yasu's parents, Daku & Keiko, met Kintoru at that event. Little did they know, they were slowly being cursed by her. Yasu, One Of Kusonoki's Direct Descendants At the ending of Chapter II, Kintoru and Yasu finally meet. Kintoru chases him through her maze, continuing to pursue him in the other chapters. Death In Chapter IV, Kintoru now takes the form of a horrific, giant spider known as Saigomo to inflict intimidation. Yasu must destroy Kintoru's three hearts (originally seven) to weaken her while also hiding from her presence. After destroying all of Kintoru's hearts yasu starts to fight her in the sakura arena. Yasu, after beheading Kintoru and chosing the option to "Kill Sama" we can see her corpse is taken away by the Evil god into the depths of the unknown while Yasu could hear it saying, "WHAT A USELESS TOOL.". One year after being dragged back to hell by her creator, Kintoru now suffers for eternity as a black larvae tied to a

-a lush sakura tree inside of a deep cave found within the forest. As she is approached by an unfamiliar face, she reminds them that they remind her of something.. perhaps someone? She pleads with them, asking them for help, but nonetheless, they do not fall for her trick and instead leave her be.
Personality
Kintoru is a hungry beast with ill-intent. A few examples are that she cursed many innocent souls, becoming her servants without remorse or sympathy and toying with her victims like Yasu Masashige. She can be deceiving, as she tricked an innocent girl into releasing her from her prison by telling her that she would give her eternal happiness. Kintoru is also a two-faced monster as she showed a caring and motherly side towards Hiachi and other puppets only to curse them afterwards. Her actions proved her as an unforgiving and cold-hearted woman who only cares to have control over others and using them as pawns. Current Events Yasu Masashige was under a curse that Kintoru created through his ancestral bloodline that is why Kintoru targets him throughout the chapters. Eventually, he defeats Kintoru using the blessed blade, given by Kusonoki after freeing him by burning the cursed samurai armor pieces and puzzles
Gameplay appearances
The Witch Trials After the release of The Witch Trials, Kintoru is seen briefly with the other beasts during the opening cutscene (all in black for cinematic reasons). She also appears in the backstory cutscene of Futaomote where she gives the butterfly spirit to her and at the ending where she slowly claims Futaomote as part of her collection, as a bunch of black hands. She can be also seen in her Easter egg cutscene found somewhere around in the spawn area of The Witch Trials. Control's Book Chapter I At the beginning intro of Chapter I, Kintoru would stand outside of La Quinta High School with her claws holding a butterfly spirit. At the end of Chapter I, she communicates to Yasu’s mind outside of a palace. Chapter II Kintoru is first seen in the final stage, dimly lit with small lanterns in Chapter II. Apart from making an actual appearance at the last maze, she speaks with red text with Japanese kanji in her sentences. Such as taunting or telling Yasu regarding his quest to find his friends or to survive. Chapter III In Chapter III, she is mentioned throughout The Girl and the Witch. Later on, through the skull pillars, Kintoru is now a centipede named Omukade that wanders through the dark as Yasu tries to figure out the puzzles on her 4 skull pillars, then go to the exit, quickly. Chapter IV In Chapter IV, Kintoru appears in the end as a horrific black spider, but now with a different mask. She stalks Yasu within the darkness as she guards her three hearts and attempts to kill him in the process. After all of her three hearts are destroyed, Yasu finally faces her a second time and last time battling her face-to-face using Kusonoki’s blessed blade. Yasu fights with the help of the Butterfly Spirits healing him. With each blow, her body becomes weaker, yet her attacks get mightier, as well as the burning rage seen in her eyes. Eventually, Yasu manages to weaken her to a point where she cannot even stand. Her body is dead, lying, as a cluster of grey ha

-hands burst from the ground and takes Kintoru's corpse. All of the people she had enslaved are now free and can now freely live on forever in the afterlife. Jealousy's Book Chapter III In Jealousy's Book: Chapter III, Kintoru appears once again as an easter egg in the forest where you anger the Yurei. Tied to a sakura tree, she tries to trick Isamu to save her, much like how she manipulated Hiachi all those years ago, but Isamu refuses.
Temperance
Current Extremely Aggressive and fast: She is faster than before, almost like Shinigami or Shiniachi, meaning that players will die pretty quickly if they are not close to a safe spot. So it is best to hear her audio cues, so that you can hear if she is close that you have to run to a safe spot right away, while trying to run from the opposite direction from the sound will not work, because she's still faster than you even though she's not chasing you. She can get stuck in some terrain sometimes, so it's best to be patient to wait for her to go by if she's stuck. Previous Really Aggressive: Even though she is faster than your sprinting when she is charging at you after she spots you, there's somewhat a low chance that you might outrun her by going to a safe spot, back to spawn, or the chase just stops unexpectedly. Listen to her audio cues if they are loud, it is highly suggested to go to a safe spot if she's close. Earliest Aggressive: When she is chasing you, her speed will not increase, though she is faster than you, and when you are in her sight, even though when you are at the back, she will turn around and will try to kill you. So, listen to her humming, and footsteps, if they are very loud, and/or if she's chasing you, rush to the nearest safe spot if possible.
Powers and abilities
As she is the Beast of Control, Kintoru has many abilities far from anything humans have: Control: Kintoru can control her victims after cursing them and transforming them into monsters (e.g. Hiachi). Manipulation: Kintoru can control many victims by tricking them with misleading stories/advice or making a deal with them (E.g. Futaomote, Hiachi, etc). Shape shifting: Kintoru can shapeshift into many different kinds of forms. According to The Girl and The Witch, Kintoru took an appearance to look similar to Hiachi. In Chapter III, she became a centipede, referred to as Omukade, and in the final chapter, she takes the form of a spider named Saigomo. It is confirmed that she can shape shift into many other forms than the ones mentioned above. Telepathy: Kintoru can communicate with Yasu via his mind throughout Chapter I until Chapter III. Mimicry: Kintoru can recreate an exact copy of the world into a twisted realm, also known as a pocket dimension, filled with unpredictable monsters lurking in the darkness. Teleportation: Kintoru can teleport her victims and herself anywhere she pleases. This was mentioned by Hamburgerch33se in The Hotel, and was seen throughout Control's Book, such as when she teleports in front of Yasu in the cutscene of the Final Maze. Immortality: According to lore writers, a bored eldritch god created Kintoru and other beasts 3000+ years ago. It seems like Kintoru is immortal or has a long aging process as she was able to live 3000+ years in her seal. Cursing Manipulation: Kintoru can curse anyone or anywhere she wishes, as she cursed Kusonoki's entire bloodline, and giving a cursed Biwa to Kaito. Flesh Creation: Kintoru can create mindless monsters from her flesh to help her, such as Hanzu and the Fleshbags. Intellect: It seems like Kintoru has some kind of Intelligence able to trick Kusonoki, the most powerful samurai, as well as the gullible Hiachi.
Trivia
Many people have assumed that Kintoru had a real form. However, this is false information. Kintoru is also referred to as: The Mother (seen in Chapter II by a note while getting the second butterfly spirit in the Imperial Palace) The Witch (seen throughout the chapters) The Control Beast (confirmed as of The Witch Trials) The Demon (referred to as by Futaomote) Sama (mentioned in The Girl and The Witch) The Puppeteer (reason being the ability to control people) Many fans have assumed that Kintoru's form in Chapter III was a worm, but later it was confirmed that she had taken the form of the Ōmukade yokai. Kintoru has shape-shifting capabilities, as seen in Chapters III, IV, and The Girl and The Witch. Kintoru was one of the four beasts who rampaged across the earth, including Enzukai, Netamo, and Yuma. She is also the only beast clearly shown in the cutscene that takes place at the beginning of The Witch Trials. After beating Chapter I, text displays on your screen that says that you have escaped the hotel and the "魔女." This Japanese text translates to "witch" or "demon" which is referring to Kintoru. The village where Kintoru first appeared in the last part of Chapter II is called the Akuyami Village. Kintoru, when written in kanji, means near, close (近/kin), east (東/tō) and precious stone/lapis lazuli (瑠/ru). All Four Beasts share a similarity in their Easter Egg cutscenes, which is written in kanji of a word representing their positions or situations. The kanji in her Easter Egg quote "制御," translating into Control. One of her lines in Chapter II implied that Kintoru devoured Yasu's friends, killing them in the process and possibly turning them into new puppets. Later on, it was confirmed by Lore Writers that she doesn't devour people. The word was used as a metaphor that she curses people. Her signature color is black. Some fans refer to her as a camper because she tends to stay near the exit of the maze and won’t leave. The Stub template has her holding a sign-

-that says: "Fix the page! And we will be 2gether 4ever! - Kintoru." She appears in the Proofread template as well. Kintoru has shapeshifted thrice in attempt to curse Yasu, which is her witch form, her Omukade form, and her Saigomo form. In Japan, -sama is used as a more formal honorific of -san (Mr., Ms.), it is usually used when addressing someone of higher nobility or rank. Kintoru is confirmed to be inspired by The Sisters from Kubo and the Two Strings. Strangely, in one of Kintoru's old jumpscare animations, she loses the black feathers that she wears around her collar. In Jealousy's Book: Chapter III, Kintoru's appearance is based on a monster called Okiku-Mushi, is an insect monster reincarnated by a woman. Kintoru's method of trying to deceive Isamu in Jealousy's Book: Chapter III may be a little easter egg from The Girl and The Witch, which is almost the same as her method of deceiving Hiachi. Kintoru's laugh can be found here. Kintoru's hum can also be found here. When you translate the word "control" from English to Japanese, one of the many translations is the word コントロール ("Kontororu"), which sounds very similar to Kintoru. It is in fact one of the many translations of control, further signifying Kintoru as the Beast of Control.
Jumpscare
Updated In Chapter 2, Kintoru picks up Yasu, and brutally stabs him with her nails. In Chapter 3, Omukade dashes towards Yasu and kills him. In Chapter 4, Saigomo grabs Yasu while killing him.

Saigomo's Lair, or also known as Kintoru's Lair is the second to last location of The Mimic: Control's Book. This is also the place where Yasu faces Kintoru and slays her hearts to weaken her.
Storyline
After getting the blade from Kusonoki Masashige, Yasu travels in a cavern full of webs with hanging Tokitos. He goes ahead and sees some of the monsters he saw throughout the chapters hanging from a web. "These must be my ancestors that Kusonoki was talking about. I didn't understand back then but now I know what I must do." "I'll definitely save you mom and dad." He goes through the red door, entering to Saigomo/Kintoru's Lair, the place where the source of Kintoru’s powers are hidden. Yasu must destroy all of these sources, the three hearts of hers, around the lair, all while trying avoiding her. When he finishes, he arrives in the Sakura Arena to kill her.
