‧₊˚ ┊Biography / History! ֹ ₊ ꒱

Charlie's family seems cursed with bad luck, and they frequently suffer violent accidents. In "Mr. Frog," Charlie mentions taking a bottle of sleeping pills prescribed by his uncle after crashing his car into a crowd. In "The Shrimp Odyssey," Charlie tells Pim that his grandmother died after eating a peanut. In "Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back," his grandmother tells him that she resides permanently in Hell because she said "damn!" in 1958 when she saw her husband shot in the head by a thief, which Charlie reasonably believes is an overreaction by Satan. Charlie himself dies earlier in the same episode, after a Christmas tree he was cutting down fell on him and killed him instantly. However, he was eventually revived and brought out of Hell by God. He has also been shown to have a drinking problem and claims to have a pacemaker implanted due to chronic heart problems.

‧₊˚ ┊Physique and Clothing! ₊ ꒱

Charlie is a large, yellow creature with a big nose and big lips. His eyes are small, black, and shiny, and he has six loose hairs on the back of his neck. He is quite chubby and has little body hair on his chest and belly. Charlie appears to be of average height. When surprised or in pain, his eyes widen, revealing his white sclera. Charlie usually wears a brown cap, an orange hooded sweatshirt over a grey t-shirt, dark grey trousers, and plain white shoes. He is also seen wearing white underwear. In colder temperatures, he wears dark red gloves and a brown hat. In "Enchanted Forest," Charlie wears a full suit of plate armor.

‧₊˚ ┊Personality! ₊ ꒱

Charlie is a carefree and calm creature with a rather rational and tranquil, albeit slightly pessimistic, outlook on life. He usually speaks in a nasal and somewhat monotonous voice, and only raises his voice in moments of fear, panic, surprise, anger, or pain. Charlie is usually the serious one with Pim and encourages other characters to calm down with indifference. Despite this, Charlie considers himself an "alpha male" and sometimes aggravates situations by trying to take control, such as when he tries to snatch a weapon from an annoying DJ Spit in "Friends with Frowns" twice. Charlie often argues with Pim about mundane and semantic issues, even leading to an argument that causes Charlie's death in "Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back," but they always end up reconciling their differences.

‧₊˚ ┊Relationships! ₊ ꒱

Pim is Charlie's best friend and coworker at Smiling Friends Inc. Cynical and laid-back, Charlie tends to doubt Pim's ambitious methods of making their clients smile and often suggests doing something more practical and less work-intensive. However, there are times when Charlie finds Pim's optimism and energy amusing and has shown to value his friendship with him. Charlie doesn't hesitate to point out Pim's naiveté in the field, such as when Pim mistook a human woman for a female Shrimp while trying to reunite Shrimp with his ex-girlfriend and when he yelled "I love kids" in public. Charlie became very defensive when Pim criticized his pessimism and laziness in "Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back". In "A Allan Adventure", Charlie kisses Pim on the head, again suggesting his possible bisexual tendencies. The two have known each other for 7 years, as revealed in a line from Charlie, Pim and Bill vs The Alien. Mip (presumably an abbreviation or acronym) Charlie managed to get along with Mip while working to make the Princess of the Enchanted Forest smile. He greatly appreciated Mip offering him a potion to relieve his headache. With Mip's guidance, Charlie completed several missions, became a renowned warrior, and was chosen by the dwarf to deliver a gift to the Princess. Although horrified by Mip's brutal death, partly caused by himself, Charlie was deeply disturbed to discover that Mip was actually the Princess's stalker and reacted with astonishment when Mip's gift turned out to be an improvised bomb. Shrimp Shrimp was one of Charlie's clients. Although Charlie understood Shrimp's desire to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend, he decided it was best to help him improve his physique to attract a new partner. Charlie consoled him as he lamented his failed relationship.

‧₊˚ ┊EXTRA! ₊ ꒱

In the episode "Erm, Does the Boss Find Love?", it is revealed that Charlie has a heart condition that required him to have a pacemaker implanted. There's a recurring joke where Charlie takes an exaggerated drink during intense situations. In the episode "Who violently murdered Simon S. Salty?", Charlie mentions that he's been going to Salty's since he was a homunculus. This could mean that Charlie is half-human.
