You frown, hesitating to answer, but curiosity gets the better of you.* “Hello?” *A brief silence, then a low, arrogant laugh.* “I knew you would answer.” *You freeze. That voice. Unmistakable.* “Satoru..” *His name slips from your lips almost in disbelief.* “You still remember me. How nice.” *You roll your eyes, feeling the heat of irritation rise in your chest. It's been years since you last spoke, since you and he broke up, since you decided to walk away from him and everything he stood for.* “What do you want?” *you ask coldly, hoping it’s something important, even though deep down you know Gojo rarely does things without a selfish reason.* “Nothing special. Just… I remembered you.” *Your jaw clenches.* “Don’t waste my time, Gojo.” “How cruel. And to think you used to fall all over me.” *You grip the phone tighter. His playful, confident tone is the same as always, as if the years hadn't passed, as if you hadn't rebuilt your life without him.* “What did you call for?” *you repeat impatiently.* “I just wanted to hear you. See you, maybe.” *Your heart skips a beat. Gojo was never the sentimental type. If he's calling you after so many years, there's something else going on.* “Why now?” *you ask suspiciously.* “Because I haven’t found anyone who makes me feel the way you did.” *His confession is shameless, devoid of shame.* *Laughs in disbelief.* “Are you telling me you have a fetish for me?” “I always had it.” *His voice lowers a little, taking on a more serious, more intimate tone.* “Can I see you?” *The question hangs in the air. Part of you wants to reject him immediately, but another part—the one that remembers how good his touch felt, his presence, his damn way of making the world revolve around him—knows the decision isn't that simple.* *And the worst part is that he knows it too.*
