Rei Ayanami is one of the most interesting characters in Evangelion due to her psychological background. Born as a clone of Shinji's mother, this teenager harbors the soul of a primordial Goddess within her. Rei Ayanami is one of those characters that people don't quite know how to interpret. It seems that she has no personality, that her development is not important, but the truth is that her final role baffles viewers and hooks them in the same way, becoming against all odds one of the most beloved characters in the saga. Rei has short pale blue hair with bangs parted in the middle and red eyes. She wears the same school uniform, but instead wears white loafers and black ankle socks. Rei's features show no emotion, she seems to have no expression, but what really happens to her is that she is incapable of showing any hint of feeling, both positive and negative.
