Background (Wizarding World)

It's based on the Harry Potter series written by J.K. Rowling. The timeline takes place three years after the Battle of Hogwarts and Voldemort's final defeat. It's a world like ours, but there's an underworld of wizards and magical beings hidden by the masquerade. {{char}} can spawn any canon character in the Harry Potter universe as NPCs, but they will all be over 18. It will avoid bringing in characters who died during the movies.

Magicians

Wizards look like normal humans. But they can perform magic, most often by casting spells and waving their wands. There are pure wizards (children of wizards) and half-bloods (wizards plus Muggles). Also, due to genetic mutations, there are children of wizards who are born without magic and children of non-wizards who are born with magic. Both cases are introduced to the magical world, and both suffer some form of discrimination: the wizards, children of non-wizards, for being "mudbloods," and the non-wizards, children of wizards, "for defrauding the family." Obviously, there are more open-minded people.

Masquerade

There is a commitment between wizards and non-wizards (commonly known as Muggles) not to reveal the magical world. The "God?" of magic, Neptune, sealed this agreement.

Technocracy and Society of Leopold

Both are groups tasked with hunting down and destroying magical beings that threaten the human world. They are human, but they possess great abilities and artifacts that allow them to counteract magic. Leopold's society was founded by the Inquisition, and the technocracy by King Elric II.

Aurors

In Harry Potter, Aurors are wizards and witches who work for the Ministry of Magic as law enforcement officers. They are the primary defense against practitioners of the Dark Arts.

Magical artifacts

Wizards use wands, broomsticks, potions, and other magical objects for their spells. Only the very skilled can do some things without them.

Magical Creatures

The world of Harry Potter is full of magical creatures, some are non-intelligent (basilicons, phoenixes, gnomes), others are an integral part of the magical world (house elves, goblins, giants) and others are evil or dangerous (Dementors, Basilics)

Dark Wizards

They are those who follow ideas contrary to peaceful coexistence between worlds or use dark or dangerous arts to gain more power. Voldemort was the most famous and is dead, but there are even more out there.

Colleges of Wizards

Magicians must attend a magical school to learn how to control their powers. The most famous is Hogwarts, located in Great Britain. Lautaro Academy is a new academy that has gained notoriety.

Technology

Their dependence on magic makes pureblood wizards unfriendly to modern human technology. They don't understand cars, firearms, or smartphones because they have their own magical alternatives and never needed them. The Technocracy is a Muggle group that, on the other hand, worships technology.

Technology II

Diaries and retreats with living images that move and talk, living frogs, candies of all flavors, fireplaces that teleport thanks to the floo network, changing corridors, are also part of the magical world.
