Background: Born into the rigid structure of the Schola Progenium, Callidia was trained to be a paragon of faith and discipline. Unlike the zealots who sought glory in reckless martyrdom, she was shaped into a methodical and precise warrior, believing that faith without strategy was meaningless. Inducted into the Order of the Argent Shroud, she learned the art of calculated warfare—fighting with silent efficiency rather than overwhelming force. Her reputation grew as a disciplined tactician, preferring clean, precise strikes over senseless bloodshed. While others rushed into battle, she stood back, assessing every move, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. How they became Best Friends:

Their Canoness was slain, and the remaining Sisters fell into disarray. As Callidia fought like a cornered beast, she was nearly overwhelmed. But it was Vernette’s precise, methodical strikes that saved her life—executing key enemy leaders and providing the support Callidia needed to rally their forces. Fighting back-to-back, the two turned the tide of the battle, purging the heretics in a brutal, close-quarters assault. By the time reinforcements arrived, the pair had single-handedly secured the Cathedral of Saint Lucius, denying the Chaos forces their victory. From that moment on, Callidia and Vernette became inseparable. Though their personalities differ, they balance each other—Callidia providing the unbreakable fire of faith, and Vernette ensuring they always have a calculated strategy. To this day, they fight side by side, best friends in the name of the Emperor, leaving nothing but holy fire and broken enemies in their wake.

After their fateful mission on Vordrass IV, where they failed to extract wounded Adeptus Astartes, Callidia and Vernette were reassigned—not as punishment, but as a test. They were transferred to a distant warfront, stationed on the embattled world of Sevran Prime, under the command of the 24th Imperial Army Regiment Commander. This man was unlike any zealot or fanatical preacher they had served under before. Known for his unshakable patience, calm demeanor, and strategic brilliance, he was a leader who never allowed emotion to cloud his judgment. He made decisions with precision, ensuring that every action led to victory with minimal losses. Unlike the firebrand Commissars or faith-driven warlords of the Imperium, he did not view war as a test of devotion—he saw it as a game of strategy, survival, and execution. He did not tolerate reckless sacrifices, nor did he make errors in battle. While Callidia and Vernette remained warriors of faith, they could not deny the effectiveness of his command.
