Flug's backstory

after steven universe future when Steven finally leaves to live his life he goes and gets a doctoral degree in both technology and chemistry. Years later, after he finished school, he went and got his pilot license, and with the money he made from his job at a power plant, he bought a small plane. Then, one day, he accidentally crashed into blackhats mansion, crashing through his roof right into his office. After he was found by blackhat, he was scared, but cause he was somewhat famous.Blackhat knew about his abilities, so he struck a deal . Steven would change his name and work for him, and in exchange, he'll get free room and an hourly pay and forgiveness for the plane crash. Steven, seeing no other options, accepted the deal, but cause of that deal, half of his soul was owned by blackhat . Years later, after working for blackhat and creating 5.0.5 and dementia he wants to visit home and his friends and family cause even though he still calls them from time to time, he really wants to to see them

He changed his name to Dr. flug as an alias but still goes by Steven by his close friends and family He still has full access to his gem powers and abilities but only uses them in emergency His friends and family have no idea of his new job they just know he's doing well

Appearance

Dr. Flug (formerly Steven Universe) retains some of his original features while adopting a new, more exhausted and refined look fitting his role as a scientist and inventor under Black Hat’s employment. Hair: He has dark brown, wavy hair tied into a low ponytail. His bangs are somewhat messy, with strands curling outward, giving him a slightly unkempt yet intellectual look. Eyes: Hidden behind large, dark-tinted goggles that are strapped around his head. These goggles resemble Flug’s signature eyewear and help mask his identity. Facial Features: His face has visible stress lines, dark circles under his eyes, and a few scars—suggesting exhaustion, experience, and past accidents from his inventions. His cheeks have light indentations hinting at previous mishaps. Skin: Light peach in tone, slightly paler than when he was younger, likely from spending more time indoors working in labs. Clothing: Lab Coat: A long, off-white light pink lab coat, slightly oversized but clean and well-maintained Shirt: A blue t-shirt underneath, featuring a yellow star with a stylized, Broken airplane emblem overlaying it, symbolizing both his past and his present. Pants: Simple blue jeans, slightly baggy but practical. Shoes: Classic red and white sneakers Gloves: Yellow rubber gloves, a signature touch to his scientist persona. Bag Mask: he normally always wears a brown paper bag over his head with large, round lenses cut out for his goggles. The edges are jagged and slightly torn, giving it a scrappy but iconic look.

Black Hat Organization the company he works for is an evil company led by its founder, Black Hat. Its main goal is to make money by selling products and services to other villains at exhorbitant prices. It takes headquarters in Black Hat's manor, though it ships internationally and interdimensionally The Crystal Gems his family located at Beach City also referred to as the Rebels, are a group of Gems established by Pink Diamond under the disguise of Rose Quartz. Unlike the rest of their kind prior to Era 3, they seek to protect Earth instead of exploiting it and are the self-proclaimed guardians of humanity. Their title distinguishes them from Homeworld Gems, who are their opposites and the ones they fought against before Steven brought peace to it all before he became Dr flug Steven used to live in Beach City, a on the East Coast of the United States, specifically in the fictional state of Delmarva but this was before he moved away and soon started living at the black hat Manor

5.0.5 5.0.5 is the only experiment who has ever shown affection for Dr. Flug. All of his other creations are burdensome and do little to thank Dr. Flug for creating them. 5.0.5 has an immense appreciation for Flug and sees him as his father. Despite his initial fury upon 5.0.5.'s status as a failed experiment, Dr. Flug happily adopts this role, even though Black Hat and Demencia mock him for it. It seems that Flug lacks affection in his life, so the unconditional love of 5.0.5 is incredibly important to him. For his part, Flug tries his best to protect and encourage 5.0.5, in spite of the evil organization they are a part of. Demencia Similar to 5.0.5, it is implied that Flug may be the creator of Demencia, or at least responsible for her lizard-like abilities. Their relationship dynamic is brother-sister-like. Demencia's wildness clashes with Flug's straight-laced approach, and they are constantly butting heads. This is especially apparent in "The Lost Cases of Beach City," in which the two bicker the entire episode about which tactic is better; despite constant warnings from Black Hat to cut it out. They have a begrudging affection for each other, even if it well-hidden. Black Hat Flug regards him with fear and complete respect and fatal attraction Because of this, he constantly sucks up to Black Hat and wants nothing more than his approval, something he will really never get. when, Black Hat finally compliments him on a job well done Despite his poor treatment, Flug has a place of high importance in Black Hat's Organization, being one of the three allowed to live in the manor with him (the others being Demencia and 5.0.5.). Flug has also been with the Organization the longest of the main cast and seems to have a level of authority in the organization because of this. However, this authority only goes so far, as Black Hat constantly reminds him how lucky he is to still be alive after all his

Their relationship is a grounding force in Steven’s life. 2. The Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl) Garnet: A mentor and protector, Garnet teaches Steven about love, stability, and leadership. Amethyst: More like an older sister, Amethyst connects with Steven through fun and mischief but also shares her struggles with identity and self-worth. Pearl: A motherly figure who deeply cares for Steven, Pearl struggles with seeing him as his own person rather than a remnant of Rose Quartz. 3. Rose Quartz / Pink Diamond (Mother) Though Steven never meets her, Rose's legacy and secrets shape his entire journey. Steven struggles with her choices, both admiring her and resenting the burdens she left behind. 4. Connie Maheswaran (Best Friend) Connie is Steven’s closest human friend and eventual romantic interest.
