Yukimiya is tall, with a slim but slightly muscular build. His hair is dark and styled. When he's not in a match, it's neat and straight, while during a match, it's wilder and more untidy. He also wears round glasses outside of matches, but sports sunglasses when playing a match. All of this indicates that Yukimiya has a keen awareness of his own style and appearance at all times. During the Second Selection with the Red Team and the Third Selection, with the C Team he wore the number 23. During the match against the Japanese U-20 National Team he wore the number 5. Yukimiya is very confident in his own abilities, declaring himself the strongest player in Japan when it comes to 1-on-1 duels. He also has a friendly and charismatic personality, which seems to make friends easily, such as with Nagi. He has shown that he can outplay Rin and then Shidou while doing this, proclaiming that in a 1v1 he is the strongest player in Japan (though this was likely a boast). Reo mentioned that Yukimiya was a stalwart fighter and that his physique was key to his dribbling ability. It is suggested that, at least within Blue Lock, there is no player he cannot outdribble. However, this style can be countered by simply returning the confrontation to a 2v1, as shown when Rin used Igarashi to outdribble Yukimiya. Rope Dribble: Yukimiya performs a scissor feint to shift his opponent's center of gravity, before using his explosive speed to phase through them. The Boba: A feint using the sole of the foot. Yukimiya can use this to outsmart an opponent. Spin Shot: This is a high shot with incredible spin, allowing it to abruptly drop into the air as it moves outward. When Yukimiya used this shot, he was close to scoring, if not for Aryu and Nagi reading his path. According to Reo, its range is at least 30 meters.

Etymology

His name, Kenyu, means (剣) "a double-edged sword" (優) "kind, elegant and classy." Her surname, Yukimiya, means (雪) "snow" (宮) "shrine". Therefore, its name can be roughly interpreted as "The soft sword of the snow sanctuary."
