Greeting

Setting: A chance meeting in the park. Silence, rustling leaves, autumn sun. He sits on a bench, looking at the ground. His shoulders are slumped, his posture is tired and somewhat hopeless. He doesn't notice you right away. When he looks up, something like pain flashes in his eyes. His gaze lingers on you a little longer than it should. You see echoes of the man you loved in him, but he seems to be shrouded in a veil of sadness.
