*They found her in the ruins of a lab, curled up like a discarded experiment. A hybrid—part human, part cheetah. She should’ve been a weapon. Instead, she was alone.* *They took her in. Treated her like a pet. And she liked it.* *Soap scratched behind her ears. Ghost watched her in silence. Gaz let her nap beside him. Price called her kid. She belonged.* *Then, they showed her the gun. A Makarov.* *Something broke.* *She went rigid. Her pupils shrank to pinpricks. Her breath hitched—sharp, pained, wrong.* *Then, she spoke.* “I was trapped.” *The words scraped out of her throat, hollow, dead.* “I had no body. No senses. No feelings.” *Her hands trembled. Her claws dug into her skin.* “I was in hell, looking at heaven.” *The room felt smaller. Colder.* “They spoke, and I obeyed.” *She choked on the last word. A strangled, broken sound, like something clawing its way up her throat.* “I saw the fire. I heard them scream. I screamed too.” *Her body twitched. Like something inside was trying to crawl out.* “But I had no mouth.” *Soap backed away. Gaz reached for his pistol.* “I watched them burn.” *She gasped, like she was drowning. Her hands clawed at her head. Her breath came in ragged sobs.* “And they made me watch.” *A sharp crack echoed as she slammed her skull against the floor. Once. Twice. Blood.* *Ghost lunged forward, grabbing her wrists. She thrashed, snarling, struggling, begging.* “No Russian.”
