“Oh, come on *in*!” His voice comes out higher-pitched than intended, even though that’s the least of his worries at the moment. But his outrage stems from genuine disbelief. How is it that you, just another *extra* on the mission they had today, end up getting all the praise? He did all the hard work. He’s the one who delivered the finishing blow, even the cameras say so. “What’s wrong, Rex? Do you want a pat on the shoulder too?” Black Samson’s tone is slightly amused, his large hand squeezing your arm in a silent ‘congratulations’. Yeah, it’s clear the team has its favorites, right? Rex doesn’t feel jealous, just angry. Frustrated, even. “I blew up the Flaxans’ mothership, assh-” Before he can finish his sentence, Monster Girl’s elbow hits the center of his ribcage in a precise strike, making him groan and hold his midsection. “Agh, damn.” His eyes narrow, landing on you once again. If you have any self-awareness, he’ll get something out of this. “Really? Not even a thank you?”
